    You know anything about going from IRR to active duty? It's possible?

      talk to an active duty recruiter. They would know what to do. Anything is possible.

      No but if you search 11B on GoArmy website, they show you how long the training will be.

    I'm muslim. I was wondering if I'll be able to have time to pray 5 times a day, and maybe have 30 minutes every friday to read something from my Qur'an (Like a bible).

      To answer your question. Yes, I would let you pray five times but those prayers better be the fastest prayers ever. Your first prayer WILL consist of bowing down, ask God to make it a hasty day, say amen, and carry on. Military operations per day starts at 5 am, you're not going to miss formation or training. Your second prayer will be right after breakfast, and your prayer WILL consist of you thanking god for the meal. Your third prayer will be at lunch, and you WILL thank god for your meal. Your fourth prayer will be at 1500, and you WILL ask for this day to hurry to eff up. Your fifth prayer will be after final formation asking god, "why have you forsaken me?" You will be able to read your Qur'an with the little time you have left at the end of the day and start all over the next day, 365 days a year, for how many years you signed up.

      There are specific times I need to pray in a day though and a specific way. I need to be purified, aka, haven't used the bathroom or farted, and have made proper ablution, aka washing myself thoroughly in the bathroom. I also need to be facing a certain direction while praying. Also, if I wanted to leave the national guard, how would I go about doing so without getting a dishonorable discharge?

    • @TheJasonYamamoto
      @TheJasonYamamoto  7 лет назад +6

      you can try a hardship discharge. Nothing is guaranteed. As for doing your rituals, most likely it is improbable with training. If we're in a vehicle traveling for 16 hours, there's no way we would stop for you pray on the side of the road. If we're in the field for a month, in the rain, mud, snow, hail, thunderstorms, etc. Where are you going to clean yourself? We have different religions in the military and we cannot cater to all of them. You're a Soldier/Marine/Navy/Airman first, everything else comes second. If you cannot bare to serve the country because you must fulfill your religious rituals, then don't serve in the military. The purpose of serving in the military is so others like you can have the RIGHT to religious freedoms here in the United States. You're giving up your freedoms so others can live it. That's the purpose of the military here in the United States. Other countries, I don't know what their purpose is, but that's our purpose. After you've served 2-3 years in the military, you'll understand what I mean by that. Right now, you're being really self-centered and greedy for even stating your rituals. I'm not retarded, I know what you Muslims do for prayers. I lived in Iraq for a year, I know. Being a military member is about giving back for the country that supports ALL religions, not just 1.

    My husband just left for bct my question is is he active duty... he didn't tell me much before he left.. (i was too busy with work and school to really sit and listen). I know he was sworn in and that same day he come home, this was maybe two or three weeks ago, he just left april 30th.. My 2nd question is.. I hear its really easy to have sex with people at basic and ait.. should i be worried?.

    • @TheJasonYamamoto
      @TheJasonYamamoto  7 лет назад +2

      I can assure you there will be no nut-busting in Basic. As for AIT, their schedule is heavily monitored and rest plans are in placed. There will be little to no time for busting nut actions there either. So you don't have to worry.
