- Mr. Animation was hit by a cab driver on Thursday night at 11;34pm 22nd of September 2016 he suffered fatal injuries and died Friday at 10:32 am we appreciate any help to have a decent funeral service for him at this time

I never forget the time when he picked me to be one of the white boys to dance he didn’t know I was a B Boy so I had had a few moves it was a fantastic reaction. Whenever I would see him again he would ask me to dance in a show. Great memories of the board walk in the 90’s!!

He changed my life back in 98 when I got to participate in his street show on Venice! It was my dream to Up-Rock and battle on that beach and he made it come true! He will live for ever! Universal B-Boys never die! Rest In Paradise Mr. Animation!!!

He was the best 😌 I still have his business card and I remember talking to him at jams. He was like the favorite uncle in the dance world from what I remember of him. To see him in Breakin movies and meeting him a few time that was so dope! R.I.P Animation.

When did he pass away? He was a great performer with a large personality. He was a friend we'd visit every weekend and he'd asked me what I thought about new routines. It was hilarious to see the stuff he'd get ppl to do making their entire visit worthwhile. 😢🙏🏾

All I can say was Animation was an innovater who invented the running backwards moon running. I used to break dance at the Radiotron when Ice T was the DJ there. Animation would always put on a great popping show there while I break danced with my crew Pony Express with Baby Huey, Orko form Shake City Rockers, Tushay, Little Ceasor, Heckle And Jeckle, Don Devoe, Kid Tuff from the dominoes, Lamar and Jeff and Kid Flash and Nick Flair Gonzales from Everlasting Crew. Those were the best teen days of my life when I went to the RadioTron and it was like high energy magical high rush everytime I went there on Friday and Saturday nights. Boy I miss those good ol break dancing days. Rest In Peace My Friend Animation. America misses and love you and you left us way too early. I miss those Venice Beach shows you always threw on the week days and week ends.

I visited LA in 2004 and saw him. I actually got to dance with him. I popped and he popped. We were havin fun and keepin up with him. Well, that lasted about 2 minutes 'til he did the splits in slow slow slow motion flat. That was when I knew the fun parts were over. Now, go sit down. Or whatever you do!!!

Much respect to this dancer this is his hustle to survive that’s all he knows.....I very thankful to him for sharing the dance style that many homies or niggaz from different ethnicities in America couldn’t do because either they’re dead or still in prisons or even homeless . On the West Coast I kinda know the history of hip hop in my own words. West coast dancers street rep during those days from my prospective from what I saw this is funk style of dancing they call it popping back then there’s no official name for it until the white man came along like how they call that dance breaking instead of B boy that is a East Coast thing not west coast I can’t comment on that. If your from the West Coast and you call that dance popping pop-lock then you really not know the history of dancing in California during da 1950s, 1960s, da best best dancers in those days were da blacks and white and some Spanish dancers not so much not until 1970s came around the Polynesian dancers came into the picture and Portuguese dancers step into the picture too in the West Coast many years us Polynesian dancers stood back and watch n learn until we can’t take it anymore yes black dancers were good but they hated it if someone doing the same moves better then he just performed that’s why we Samoan were known a bad loser after a battle..We battle everybody in locking the best dancers in the street not in a battling some guys can’t go out of their area because circumstances they were in. Many of them amazing dancers but they were hard core criminal. I do not remember those Spanish dancers don’t even know what area they from because you were introduced to them once or twice and after that you heard their in prison life Circle goes on like that..in the black community there were amazing dancers every dancers has their own style because of the beats of the songs some songs when they tried to dance to it they were a bit off not in sequence with the beats but they were dancers no matter what beats you play they can get down to it because they know many style of dancing in locking. In da 70s n 80s n now is way different because of the original moves is lost forever in 70s n 80s a lot of street dancers dance with their hands. Not now da way how they do it now days. the two step the popping mad it famous if you know popping I mean the real popping
