The lady that they got for the intro sounds exactly like every customer service training ever. I wasn't expecting such a solid variety of VA work in this alongside Tom's dulcet tones.
Pretty excited to see you play more of this! It's a real test of your reading comprehension, and "They pay me to Lead" Tom is doing incredibly well!!! The cracked/peeling wall is a really hard one, so I really don't blame you for missing that.
I don't think frozen pipes smell. Plus the way he was describing the sound doesn't seem like the noises you'd hear from water in pipes. He sounded like the noises were gross. I think it was pipe growth. The information entry mentions the sounds of digestion as the fungus digests whatever comes down the drain.
Nah he got that one right for sure, nothing else causes both sound and smell from faucets. It must have been the coin toss between the fracture hobb and the termites.
@@vegladex I just started playing the game myself. You're right. I still think the way he described the sound is weird for what it turned out to be, but mainly I skimmed over the part about smell for the frozen pipes. You're right, it was the termites. The peeling paint hint is what clinches it. @bickbalsy He didn't see the slime because he didn't investigate further. He mentioned it being hard to see from the top step. But what he did see was that it was the size of his dog, which is exactly what size the stair slug is described as. That's a hell of a lot bigger than any gopher.
Yeah definitely the caller who called angrily to say that they didn't follow the advice given last week and now it's gotten worse in exactly the way it would get worse if they hadn't followed the advice, but blaming that entirely on us when it's their fault. That shit was a multiple time a day call.
I love how Tom has trouble reading all the time, but when it comes to the terrible jumbled mess he gets from the person who worked there before him he doesn't even stumble.
I've watched 3 people play this so far and not one has gotten the lady with the cracks/peeling on her wall correct. Idk what the answer is but it definitely doesnt seem to be fracture hobb
Tom instantly getting that it was mice due to the audio file and calling it "cut and dry" is so cathartic when the SGS took like 15 minutes going back and forth if it was racoons or mice and ended up going with racoons.
Tbf the SGS overthinking an extremely (painfully) straightforward point is basically a trope at this point. A character could tell them a thing costs 3 pounds and in 20 minutes they'll be in the process of convincing themselves that the thing costs 8 pounds. They'll have a whole fake story, fake scenario, fake dialogue, anything to say that the thing costs 8 pounds. But boy are they fun to watch otherwise!
@@TheSilverOrn Trick question. It was never feathers. Nope. It was always leaves. Don't you remember? And it wasn't a pound, it was 2 tonnes. Remember that guy saying it was 2 tonnes of leaves? Yeah, you remember. Anyway the metal is obviously heavier.
Learn? Answer intelligently? Tom isn’t paid to read, people! We’re doomed! Metamorphosis for us all! Edit: Wait? What?! I don’t want to hear anything about Tom claiming not to be paid to read! :-P Also, this is kinda a neat concept, who helps out homeowners in a world of hidden supernatural phenomena and how weird and crappy would their call center job be?
You're actually pretty far in already, good 1/3 of the game? Took SGS 2 and a half hours and that was 4 dudes talkin and gettin distracted constantly xD Also you got Boggart right, I wasn't paying a lot of attention so I didn't see which when you got wrong but boggart was definitely right
Daily reminder that Tom is an amazing person and to thank him for all he has done/will do - Day 1548 Ok now, this is fucking amazing, I adore games like this and just love analogue horror big time :D So, you can suspect I had a real good time indeed with this game, am definitely hoping we see more and definitely going to be trying it out myself Ok, now the Hobbs, what fun little guys :D love those little fairies :D I think it was the Carpenter Ant, rather than the Fracture Hobb with those cracks in the walls
0:00 What a start
The game's name: Home *Safety* Hotline
The video title: Home *Saftey* Hotline
Tom: Home *Safely* Hotline
Absolutely beautiful.
The true horror was definitely seeing 1996 house prices.
how tom managed to get almost everything right while calling bed teeth bad teeth is beyond me
Tom don't read good.
He's paid to lead, not to read
Didn’t watch yet, but I already foresee how Tom’s usual strategy of “they pay me to lead, not to read” is going to backfire with this game
He did pretty good!
Failed to read "safety" six times in the first thirty seconds.
@@OrangeDog20 It's safely!
Also: "Bad" teeth... :p

Oh gods yeah. I used to work in call centers, and I felt my pulse go up a bit hearing her. Absolutely fantastic!
22:30 you definetly don't want a crack hobb, they have a terrible habit
Yeah, they bite their fingernails

I imagine this is what Nilesy had to deal with when he worked at a call center
Its so much worse. Its so much more annoying dummies
Home Safely is a much better name for a safety hotline anyway.
Home *Saftey*
I'm glad it's not just my brain hearing this.
@@positronalphame too. And the dress is gold and white!
I honestly thought I was smelling burnt toast every time he said the title haha
My hunch is maybe the frozen pipes one could have been wrong

I suspect the stair slug, there was no mention of slime. Gopher might have been a better suggestion.

I’m pretty sure when you chose crack hob it should’ve been the termites. Because they didn’t report noises
I used to work in a call center and while it wasn’t this line of work, unfortunately, this video was still pretty triggering to watch 😂
Same, I felt my pulse rise just from hearing the first va. Spot on voice acting!

I used to work at an AT&T call center and literally every one of my callers was Gary. I quit after my second panic attack.
Should played this with Simon or Lydia!
I'd love a pusher/strangler detective complete play through.
bEd teeth, tom. *bed* teeth.
I suspect bad glasses, to be honest.
They pay him to lead, not to read 😂😊
@@positronalpha I think you mean bed glasses
Gary is the very definition of that one customer who blames the call center for their utter incompetence at operating their phone.
Those prank calls sound so much like Longmont Potion Castle
I hope this turns into a series!
do more of this please Tom, you didnt even get to see any of the SPOOKY shit
i wonder if this game is related to the meow wolf locations. ive only been to one, and i get the same vibe from this game.
It's analog horror, there's a lot more stuff with this vibe beyond what one company makes
This feels like a game you'd play in the Tim and Eric universe. Saw the ad on Channel 5, zipped over to the Video Van and copped that flop.
please play more of this
Every time I watch plays of this game. I am SO aggravated by the man mistaking mole hills for poop. He is not human!
Please come back to this. It was very interesting and original
I hope this turns into a series, i'd love more of this game
I like this a lot, I'd love to see more
Play more of this, I bet it gets spookier
you didnt even get to see any of the SPOOKY shit
!!
Honestly, I've watched a few playthroughs of this by now, and I've never seen anyone get a hundred percent before. Great work, Tom~!
i just watched the scary game squads one, and now i remember how badly they fucked up the mice one.
I love how Tom has trouble reading all the time, but when it comes to the terrible jumbled mess he gets from the person who worked there before him he doesn't even stumble.

I saw in Bobas video wrong answers will call back the next day.

Safely safely safely. 😅
Would enjoy watching more of this. It was great!
Spooky, and it's not even Halloween! Give me those common hobbs, we'll make a fortune (assuming we figure out the metamorphic part)
Would love to see you play more of this Tom! It's a fun game!

i think the one you got wrong was the memory wisp one, he kept saying he couldn't see their face.
please play more of this tom!
Reminds me of Kingsway RPG made by Andrew Morrish. I think Tom would love this one as well :))
Would absolutely love to see more of this game!
Oh wow, houses before the housing market completely went insane
100% accuracy day 1?
Get wrecked Boba
