Man... screaming and singing back and forth like that for a full set must be extremely exhausting. Well done.
Dudeeee, it's no joke for sure. I do a lot of back and forth like this and switching between the techniques is soooo draining after an hour + set...I couldn't imagine doing it for almost two hours. Screaming and singing are so drastically different that if you overdue it on the screams you will harsh out your cleans to the point of where staying in key is not only a major struggle, but can also be damaging on your voice because natural instinct at that point is to really push it until you hit that pitch. The hardest part imo is holding back just enough with everything so that you don't overload your voice and cause damage....But that's really hard to do when you are on stage having all that energy flowing through your veins haha.
That crowd didn’t deserve Killswitch.

Jesse is AMAZING, so intence and authentic! Passion and attitude, and last but not least he improved so much tecnically. That's why killswitch fans love him

The raw emotion in his lyrics and vocals. You can tell he needed to make this song. And I can tell I needed to hear it too.

But he was on their best album.

Been digging the new album. Signal fire is epic. These are cool dudes. Adam is hilarious. Jes is super intelligent. I got to drink and talk with them, for a couple of hours, a few years back. It was a memorable evening

Not a Killswitch fan necessarily. The vocals impressed me. This was solid. I dig it.
See I'm a huge kse fan, but the vocals were definitely not solid, the first few release mes were so scratchy and out of key
its metal music not pop music. there will always slight changes in vocal tones. They are man not machine.
@@wmc128 and I agree with you. I was just saying this was not a very impressive gig for Jesse's vocals so I was really shocked the guy who commented thought it was so great. One of the poorer performances I've seen.
I've been watching live footage of this band for a long time and it's one of his better vocal performances. His new voice (blew it out completely recently) is much more accurate on the whole. He's always sung with his heart and not necessarily kept be practice on vocal control and I love it, but his margin of error here is pretty damn good and I'm stoked for this tour cycle. His very first notes were particularly shaky but it's great after that.
@@neilvanmiddendorp8162 ahhhhhh I'll have to watch further then. I saw them twice on the killthrqx tour and their festival vids on that cycle sounded amazing, way better then here. I only listened up to the first chorus and couldn't really deal with it. I know he can sing, the 2nd time I saw them they performed recokoning and when darkness falls and holy cow he was amazing. I just personally think this is the worst performance I've heard, so if you think this is better then some dont show me worse lol
