- Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield was quoted saying he’s: 'probably the most beat up' he’s ever been heading into Week 11 of the NFL season. Mayfield is dealing with a fractured shoulder, a torn labrum, a foot injury and a knee contusion. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe react to Baker’s comments about his injury. Skip is sympathetic to the injured Mayfield, while Shannon is taking a hard stance on how being hurt is not an excuse. The 5-5 Browns are scheduled to take on the winless Detroit Lions in Cleveland on Sunday.

Baker has more weapons than Mac Jones and was outplayed by the rookie. He is destined to be a backup in this league sooner rather than later.
Jones was playing on easy mode compared to Baker. He was pressured very little compared to Baker, and the Browns could not stop the run.
Doesn’t help when the defense lets the pats score 2-3 drives that were 90 yards plus, and pats got touchdowns on nearly every drive, offense should’ve done better it either case
Jones has a better coach and a better defense. That actually matters more than talent in the nfl how many time does NE have to prove that.
When Nick chubb or Kareem hunt runs for 100 yards Baker win 80% of his games according to pro football focus .....when they don't the browns lose 75 % of their games....that proves they never ever ever win because of baker

i think the counterexample and the indictment of baker mayfield is ryan tannehill. maybe before the loss of derrick henry you'd think baker's situation and play style is similar to tannehill's, minus ryan's running ability. offense predicated on running first, strong offensive line play, opening up the play action for short- to mid-level passes most of the time on half the field. we all thought the titans' season was over when henry went out, but tannehill has picked up his play to continue helping them win. baker's play does not elevate when hunt or chubb is out. his output tends to diminish without either of them.

As an avid sports fan I can't remember seeing 2 so polar opposite scenarios in NFL coverage: 1. Some in the media give Baker Mayfield the benefit of every single doubt ever known to man lol 2. Odell Beckham Jr., on the other hand, gets blamed for EVERYTHING that goes wrong regardless if its his fault or not. I do not understand it. I think a lot of men in the media are jealous of Odell on the low because they could only hope for the swag he has. It is funny to watch. LOL

He averaged 10 yards per attempt. Spoiler, that is way above average.
