I have the same issue, got the timing chain done on mine and you’re supposed to do the clutch at the same time but after 2 months of waiting for parts just had to do the chain and put the old clutch back in 😂 Hope it holds together till parts start getting easier to find. Pain in the rear, shambles on Vauxhall’s part
everyone is having issues at the moment. in 2021 -2022 i waited 8 weeks for the chain on the insignia back then due to parts. 3 years later however, still problems with parts availability.
I bought my clutch on eBay and my mechanic fitted it for me.
very lucky i just wish parts were more available to my locals
i having same problem with BMW, the uk is just a mess at the moment for auto industry i hate it, my car been parked up for 4 months now going from garage to garage, im fed up

I had the same thing on a astra 1.6 turbo , need a new exhaust and could not get one , would have to order one from germany at £2700 !
shocking that! absurd amount for that. hopefully you have it sorted :)
freaking hell!!! a 9 hour job????? My 2004 ST clutch only cost me £550 to do last week! Luckily Ford parts are really easy to get hold of still! Get yourself a focus mate! Cheap and parts are easy to come by!
Very lucky glad you got yours sorted in a sufficient time frame 😊
Are these issues I'm gonna have to face with my 2018 insignia elite and i haven't even had it 1 year yet
Vauxhalls are crap
hopefully not but parts availability is dire for all cars by the sounds of it. otherwise the insignia grand sport is a great car. enjoy it :)
You should have tried bleeding the clutch line first then seeing if a pin had come out... Williams Mobile Clutch (on youtube) does the job on your driveway. Questmead reconditions clutches.
Should have Tried MB Motors Keighley, he is the Insignia Master!
I wish I could have but ran out of time trying and couldn't find anywhere local to me to take it too. The cars was sadly undrivable if it was still drivable I would have had it done or booked it in early knowing of a wait. But sadly it wasn't meant to be.
😢 I am so sorry to hear this
could get an old astra for like 2k maybe
stay tuned :)
The clutch pedal staying to the floor could be the clutch slave cylinder needs replacing not the clutch
Slave had burst could smell brake fluid making it highly likely for the clutch to be contaminated
I tugged a good clutch from a scrapyard a fortnight ago. You're not trying very hard.
if i could have done it i would have done but scrap yards by me are getting few, and the ones i can get into dont have a 1.6 cdti with engines in them or with the right engine entirely. further more i cant do the job myself due to struggling with my sciatica issues of late :(
@@blurbosh The Astra 2.0 CDTI motor will fit straight in. 152 bhp, and far more reliable.
I called mill auto s out of curiosity 240 plus and 1 week from Germany )-:
A LUK clutch set including the clutch bearing is 280 Euro's in Germany. A cheaper brand 200. Why not let the garage order that in Germany, pay some import tax and then fix the car. I ordered a lot of parts in GB for the RR classic and the mini and no problems at all. And no warranty is just BS on the garage part.
1:05 How can you have a back issue and be able to sit like that?
I've had a PROPER back issue for the last 35 years and it is difficult to sit or lie down and nigh on impossible to get up again.
Sciatica nerve and dodgy disc from a few years ago might be your answer there and sitting like that isn't easy, I've been struggling since the beginning of this year as due to working with heavy white goods as my employment I lifted a washing machine awkwardly and hurt my back in the process knowing I've already got a weakness. But that's the nature of my job unfortunately.
I'm on painkillers still even after recording this video 2 and half weeks ago. Getting up in the mornings is a chore
Hard to believe you can't get a clutch for a Vauxhall. Strange times.
Unbelievable it is honestly. The insignia is now gone and have the new car which will appear in future videos. Gutted is an understatement. But needs must I rely heavily on a decent car to get around in at the moment. Bad timing for it to go but is always the way it goes with cars sadly. My local garage was saying it's not just Vauxhall affected at the moment. 😢
I just looked on eBay and 2 minutes and found 1 straight away there is loads available
@@andrewrichards4815 on eBay maybe but not at a supplier for a garage
@@blurbosh maybe not but you just order it and then get garage to fit it. Or ask them to order it
@@andrewrichards4815 I asked that but they said they wouldn't give a warranty on it. But it's all done and dusted now I have a replacement motor. It's a shame I didn't have my spare car running otherwise I would have waited. Such is life unfortunately
@@blurbosh you would get warranty from the company you buy it from. Oh well abit late now hope ya happy with new car wat is it by the way? Always reach out to forums there are very helpfull poeple out there
A non driving car is not worth 7500. This guy isnt too clever. Stick with fords and keep for long time.
Yes, get a ford ecoboost , see how it goes
😥😥😥
Yeh yeh world still turns
exactly! not the end of the world i agree
