The show started with about 24 young male trainees all hoping to make the final cut as a KPOP group. At the end of the series, only 7 were left standing. 6 were chosen globally (Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Jungwon, and Niki). The 7th member (Sunoo) was selected as Producers’ Choice. Also, on the last episode, before the final 7 were selected, it announced that the group would be called “Enhypen” because Bang explained just as a hyphen is used to connect words & phrases, his hope was that the group “Enhypen” would be the same in connecting people and promoting new growth. I think the last episode of “I-Land” was in September 2020. Enhypen officially debuted November 30, 2020. Their debut song is “Given-Taken” from their EP called “Border: Day One”. Since their debut, I know they’ve at least won Seoul Music, Golden Disc, and Gaon ROTY awards. This particular version of “Given-Taken” is the Japanese version. That’s why I’m totally psyched out with this video! My babies haven’t been in the KPOP industry a year yet, and they’ve won quite a few awards, been on the cover of international magazines like Vogue, Seventeen, Forbes, and made Billboards Hot 200 ( 3 of their songs reached 13, 18, and 21)! I still remember them from “I-Land”, how they worked so hard and how Jay and Jake were sent to Ground; when Seventeen came to encourage them, and when BTS answered their questions and concerns and sent the last 12 trainees customized gifts! I remember them crying when friends got eliminated and how happy all 7 were to see the other 17 trainees come back for the final episode! I am so glad I made the decision to be a fan. I was gonna stop being vested into KPOP after my Tomorrow by Together babies came along, but Enhypen......all I can say is “WOW”! So proud of them!

Its not just about their music its about them. They give me the light that i didnt find by myself.. I found myself laugh until my heart came out because of them..
