A lot of people have already said this, but the fakour-90s are much better. Most games I get the first kill because they accelerate so much faster than the phoenix.
it outclasses both f14s if you play it right. I die trying to get my aim 54s pitbull. also the br is broken because of bvr spam from 11 f 14s. my f14s radar turns to brain rot trying to cycle through 30 different boat sized missiles. Im starting to get tired of f14 spam already
Fakkours actually get to the target much quicker than 54s
The booster motor on them is way more powerful than the one on the 54 and they also have a sustainer that is also slightly more powerful than the 54 booster. They're an upgrade in pretty much every way other than weight. They also can't turn as hard but they are pulling more g's it's just because they're going that much faster that it's hard to turn.

In one match I got 4 kills with 4 Fakours.
One tip the Fakour accelerates much better than the phoenix, while having a sustainer which is almost strong as the phoenix engine

Honestly, this is also a great time to be stock grinding both the IRIAF F-14A and the Mirage 2000C-S4 for me. The only concern is my teammates cleaning them all up before I avoid all the Phoenixes and Fakours launched towards me, since I refuse to carry chaff with so little countermeasures count (especially on the Mirage, tf did Gaijin think reducing it to 34? Like, at first it was a bug, yesterday I saw someone's recent bug report get hit with the "we need sources for historical inconsistencies" copy pasta, WHEN THEY ARE THE SOURCE).
Early F-14A had glove vanes which Maverick type pilots exploited like 'folding canards' to add another 1.5G and 2-3dps in a sudden rake or pitchup maneuver that made the jet boil off speed at 100 knots a second in full blower, wings aft, mode. Rapidly taking the pilot to sub-corner speeds (before the wings could sweep forward to compensate) but when applied judiciously, could provide the F-14A a high as well as low speed entry mode (and a translation between) to snap into threats at nose rates which would make an Eagle driver blush.
Excessive use of the vanes put enorrmous strain on the glove structure and was eventually deactivated because the pilots were abusing it and fatiguing out the airframe life, but it was something which, along with a much lighter airframe (F110s weigh...a lot) and _no drop tanks_ would have allowed the IRIAF F-14s to dogfight with Mirage F-1 and MiG-21 BIS-N with no problems.
Did The Snail notice this GAMEPLAY MODIFIER when they painted their F-14A in pastel blue and sandbox tan? Nope.
Never change Gaijin, the shock of you actually providing something useful would be too much to handle, especially since the R-27 was a gift of the Iraqi MiG-29 force _which were monkey models with no radar_ and thus would have been a T-model, short burn, non extended range, piece of kit.
PL-7 now... That's just Chinese Magic.

bro i use fakour90 as rear missile killer cuz the rwr doesn't work so well in rear aspect and they go so fast and they can hit a target flying way from you at like 15km just to let you know that is twice as r27er range

I remember when matches would have maybe 2-3 F-14… now it’s 90%+
worst part is spawning in and everyone but two people being tomcats that just fly up, spam missiles, get like 1 kill, and then don't actually help the rest of the team. (which is what most tomcat players do anyway)

hey trep, I've been struggling with my mig29smt, how to I use it for my full potential, I'm great at dogfighting but it's out of the question because of aim 120s and long-range missile warfare at 13.0 and above, r77 is my main struggle to use, and the irccm seems to not work on the r73, I would love if you would make a little guid on missiles and how to use them

It's so funny because using premiums right now is an absolute joke. They need to do something about the amount of f-14s because the only way to beat them is to join them. 11.3+ is just straight up f-14s.
Just play 13.0 and seal club them, or 13.7 and avoid them

how can you spend an entire video with the new F14 and not have a single clue what the hell is going on. So firstly. the new fakour missiles aren't "worse" phoenixes, in fact they're quite a bit better. The fakours are phoenix missile but with the hawk sam missile motor in them, with wayyyy better thrust than the phoenix. Yes the fakours pull 2G less, but they have a booster stage the first 5 seconds that are 5 times as powerfull as the phoenix' 30 seconds sustainer, followed by a 25 second sustainer with the same thrust as the phoenix. This means the fakours have more than 30% more energy than the phoenix missiles, and accelerate muuuuuch faster. so much faster it's actually a joke.
If you had actually given the plane a fair go and tried the new missiles, instead of just looking at the stat cards and thinking, "oh worse phoenix, not gonna use those". Then you might've actually realised what the hype around this jet is........

How do so many people have so much time to grind this game? I gave up on like the 3rd day because I was going out of town for 36 hours and I knew I wasn’t going to be able to make the points quota.
I just got both f14 and f15 and 13.0 is the exact same thing and thing is I don't have chaff

Bro played F14 Iriaf and didn't even use Fakour. I am level 100 but this F14A Iriaf is basically my first with radar + missile jet. So the first day with stock I kinda played like level 30. 2nd day I averaged 3 kills. One match I got 4 just with 4 Fakours. 50-60km when target is at high altitude, 30-40km when the target is low. Yeet some Fakour and you are guaranteed atleast 2 😅
