First off: I love your Kelela reviews. They just show up when I watch her channel so work and keep doing you, love your energy. So I've basically only been streaming Raven for the last month. Bruises is still a fave. Missed Call is great, they are all great. But there's something special about all these one word titles songs that follow each other, idk. But back to Enough for Love, an even more amazing track since seeing this video and her stellar live performance on national TV. For me the music video gave me a new meaning for the song. I almost feel like she's singing the lyrics to herself now: like "girl, can you love through these wounds or nah?", "you forgot about us = your higher self that you keep omitting when you give yourself to much". Am I reaching? Stick with it, lol. Cause although the song speaks about one specific relationship, the video shows 5 different ones. I don't know if you noticed but each time she changes her hair it's a new partner. The braids and the wavy wig, that's 2 guys. Hence the alone part and cleansing between both. Then there's the woman. Again water is involved. Than the motorcyclist. Then the beach where the last partner shows up, I don't want to misgender them so I won't. Any of those could be platonic but anyways my view was basically a reflection of meaningful relationships she's been going through and the learnings from each of them. The only constant thing is her necklace that never changes, her core. The Far Away bit is her taking time to reconnect with her true self, on her own, with nature, without the hair. Also the location my dear is not the Washed Away video location. That was shot in Danakil, Ethiopia vs Brazil. But anyways, yes stunning visuals. So here for all of them really. yeah that bed transition was crazy, also in the ending there's "far away" playing as the actual ending to the album and the video itself so I think this was genius
Right?! I think it’s important to the story of enough for love because after going to what might be heartbreak or questioning in that song She returns to self and love in “far away” Also she looks soo good in that final scene

I’m wondering if this is the end of the videos for this era since she pretty much released the singles in the same order of the album and ends with Far Away. It feels like she’s making a statement with it all and I love it so much. The amount of substance Kelela has is insane.

This is so hard for me to answer because I love all her output Hallucinogenic, the ep, is something I listen to almost daily, I looove the mixtape and I think Take me apart is the best album of all time So idk, I choose to forfeit this answer I love them all and I refuse to choose😂 But I would choose take me apart😭
