Here's my interpretation: The two are in an obsessive and unhealthy, toxic relationship. The man is addicted to her [she's his morphine, a drug] but the woman wants to leave. Here's my interpretation: The two are in an obsessive and unhealthy, toxic relationship. The man is addicted to her [she's his morphine, a drug] but the woman wants to leave. She wants out of this horrible relationship and the man keeps her tied to it, keeping her trapped. At the end, where he's flipping between saying to break his heart and he'll eat her whole and saying how much he loves her, I think it's trying to say that the man knows that this relationship is breaking the woman, he knows it's bad for them, he realizes all of this but he can't quit her. He needs her even though he knows it's toxic. It's a song about how the man is anchoring the woman to this relationship out of desperation, even though he knows is killing her [metaphorically speaking. It's emotionally killing her, she isn't really dying]. Obsessive, toxic love.
