Most chief Officers come from Pleasant Hill who are arrogant, some no earthly business being chief officers much less officers. Some rural departments have friends only club, if you want to be an officer good luck if you are NOT a friend of a chief officer or company officer. Joining the department is challenge if do meet their standards. You could completed Oregon DPSST standards training for basic firefighter training. But you aren't in the friends only group you are screwed and will keep out surrounding districts too by alerting them as well. If you haven't noticed I am very disgruntled applicant who wanted to join Pleasant Hill Fire some years back. I found this be evident when I was with Creswell Fire Department now South Lane Fire. Do I hold resentment towards the departments?YES! Of that why I don't live in those district anymore. I would rather live district like Seattle Fire Department where personnel are professionals. You bias because I was rescued by Seattle Fire Department EMS Team 😊
That is one of the arrogant officers, who by my opinion is potentially who the mutiny against the chief at Goshen. The Chief of Goshen is good officer came up through ranks a qualified chief officer. I remember him from when I was candidate with Creswell Fire, Pre-merger. I did part of my basic fire training at Goshen Station. Because most of training offices were Pleasant Hill personnel. I had re-do my training at Lane Co fire. District 1 in Veneta OR.
Fire Departments are dangerous…….it is serious business…..training is a must, tough leadership is necessary…volunteers get killed with poor leadership….again, do not volunteer unless you get the proper training and leadership
I agree and if it’s Volunteer vote Him out
Yet the other station think he doesna good job?
Stuart Little seems miffed!!

That Lt. that spoke against the Chief doesn’t inspire confidence. I wonder what his job performance is like.
