I hate move'n equipment, with a passion! It's the most dangerous part of excavating. What makes matters worse are the very intelligent people who, pass you on a hill, in a curve, with traffic coming. It makes you just shake your head and does help you to understand why some mothers eat their young! Great video! Thanks Mike & Matt! Lee
We have loads on impatient idiots in our part of the world who love to overtake heavy vehicles in the wrong spot. Most of them in big utes (pickups in USA)
I worked for my grandpa running a D8 caterpillar bulldozer with a cutting blade clearing trees and stumps for a local paper mill when I was 17 years old. An older cousin moved the dozers around from job to job. I had to ride with him on the backroads near the Mississippi River in Missouri once. He drove those narrow backroads so fast while hauling a dozer that he scared the life out of me. My grandpa’s truck was an old Mack also.
I don't think people realise how much effort goes into getting ready for a job, especially when because of work your kit is all over the place. Your truck sure did well, especially towing up those hills. Looking forward to some file plough action, it's been a while. 👍🤗
Looks like Gunner had a blast hanging out with your Mike. Another Father / Dad day he will remember fondly the rest of his life. I remember helping my Dad working on the wood airplane he started building in our basement before he moved it out to the garage. It's what led me to becoming a Coast Guard Aviation Machinist Mate. The old Mack sounds like it's a wild big Dod growling at someone trying to snatch his bone he's chewin' on when the jake brakes kicks in. I'm sure it's a Happy puppy dog now that it's healthy again. Of course there's no doubt that Officer Hoover is gonna make that bus look real awesome by the time he's done rebuilding it.
In the early 90's we did lots of 1200km trips and I would generally keep an eye on the driver. I would knock off in bursts, because I'm prone to motion sickness. I was under ten years old. Bitter sweet memories.
It is really nice to dad showing son the ropes on what he does. I bet the the young puppy 🐶 dog 🐕 runs like a Swiss watch. The pup sounds really awesome. Denis from Santa Rosa CA
The MACK sounds great! You've given it a new lease on life and us a great video! The bus project looks like something fun for the family and your choice of Officer Hoover was a surprise. I didn't know enough about him to understand he did that kind of work. Thanks for bringing us along! Great to see Gunner, he's growing quickly! Stay well and stay safe!
Its always good to see you and Gunny making road trips together. Looking forward to the start of the dozer resto project with him! Keep the memories going Dad!
Mike, Gunner, Hoover and Matt great video! Puppy Dog looks like it’s running great! Gunner is really starting to grow up and getting to like working with Dad! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
Dude! Gunner is incredible! The memories he is going to carry forward! Not sure if I was more impressed with the bus or the Mack! The bus is ready for School bus races. The Mack didn’t even feel the track hoe behind it.
You Drive the long Day with the old and Repair Mack. To bring Your Equipment to the news Workplace. The Worktime in the Free Nature beginning. Very good Video.
Howdy Mr. Dirt, Nice to see the MACK back to work! You did an awesome job rebuilding your baby! Looking forward to seeing how the 950 handles with the new weight! Stay safe! Jim
Awesome video as someone who worked on the farm around tractors/machinery as a kid and worked as a diesel tech on farm tractors, heavy equipment and OTR trucks for more than 30 plus years love the equipment diesel sound! Jakes sound awesome! Worked on lots of Mack trucks much older than what you have, same basic concept. Great to see Gunner with you that is how I learned stuff!
Good job on the Mack repair, love the sound she makes. Love the old school engines. Saw Arron has some bucket skin repair on the 120 to do. Looking forward to seeing how the counter weight works on the 850J.
Brings back great memories of trucking with my dad ❤ Never thought one of your videos would make me teary-eyed! Definitely miss him, so it's great to see how you and your son interact!
Loved your driving experience. There is a lot of background that is showing. I sure want to see that counterweight that the guys built at C&C hanging from the front blade and see how it effects all that rear weight.
25:45 I remember that hill. That is where you and Matt used the ripper to tear out all of the rock so you could run the utilities up to the house where you also put in the septic tank and field lines.
The dog has it bark back! Great repair, she sounds strong! Be careful how you talk about Mrs. DP’s bus…she put you in the floor once…don’t want to see a repeat whipping….LOL 😂🤣😂🤣
I was not worried about the "pup engine", but I don't pay the bills and rely on the truck to get me moved. Enjoyed the gentlemen helping with the engine repairs. Like others, would like to know your relationship to him. Like you he had walked down that repair road prior just a few more times represented by age. Enjoy the videos!
DP really glad the Puppy dog did an amazing job first the Bus, and all the Tonka Toys ( that's what I called them back in my day of hauling stuff to the job site) awesome 5 🌟 video look forward to the next episode as always God bless y'all from Gaffney South Carolina viewer 🙏❤️💯
Glad to see you cross pollinating with Cousin Mikey. That Captain Kleeman hoodie is a bit bright, but it might give a boost to the I. Q. quotient..... Love ya'll.
Awe Mike ... Puppy ? I couldn't help thinking to myself ... "sounds like an angry bull or hog!" Man, she's like a venerable old stallion that'll still take on all comers.
Loving the 'bus' - Gunner seems to think it is OK. It is so hard to stay awake in a long trip. Tile plow out of moth balls - here we go again. Mack running fine.
My view for what its worth is call the bus the "struggle" bus. For Mrs DP it was a struggle to get it and Mr DP its a struggle to stay away from itb😅. Come on DP, get onboard and enjoy the family adventures they are not young for long believe me. Kjm
Hey guys, puppy dog sounds great. The subs camera on the tail was doing a little ditch witching without a hard hat. It’s danger everyday with you DP😂😂😂😂😂. You all stay frosty.

Great job helping Mr Dirt Perfect Matt

You are an expert Mack Mechanic and operator of anything diesel.
Dig Prefect exhaust pipes rock and they will never wear out thick steel I love it
Great to see the old girl up and running again and hauling her usual loads with ease!!
The interior of Mrs. Dirt Perfect's looks great at this point! well done Miss Jenna! 😀👍
Great fix on the "puppy dog". I knew you would do it Mike. The "short bus" project looks like a winner for some good family fun.
Nothing like the satisfaction of a job well done! Give yourself a pat on the back!!
Thanks for the video. The bus is less Mad Max Apocalypse than what i thought it would be. It actually looks pretty comfortable.

Mr DP, you have some really good skills, Driving, Mechanic, Fabricating, and the best, a good family Man. +++
Those magnificent pipes are screaming coming down those hills.......LOVE IT...........(don't get that with an electric truck 😂)
Awesome work on the puppy dog. Glad the fleet is back up and running
I just love the way that truck sounds, especially when you hit the jake!!
In the early 90's we did lots of 1200km trips and I would generally keep an eye on the driver. I would knock off in bursts, because I'm prone to motion sickness. I was under ten years old. Bitter sweet memories.
Fantastic editing swapping back and forth from your camera to Matt's when unloading the tile plow. Very fluid and timed perfectly.
It is really nice to dad showing son the ropes on what he does. I bet the the young puppy 🐶 dog 🐕 runs like a Swiss watch. The pup sounds really awesome. Denis from Santa Rosa CA

Nice repair test run. Good work!
Great job on those heads! Truck sounds great and will run forever if you do it like you do and care for it.

Enjoy this video Mike , Gunner , Officer Hoover . and Mat all in one video .
Truck runs so good it will easily haul the buss near the campgrounds so Mrs. DP won't have far to drive.🚌
Being able to go and hang out with dad (every boys hero is there dad!) and when dad has big cool trucks and machines it’s just that much better!
Good job on the Mack repair, love the sound she makes. Love the old school engines. Saw Arron has some bucket skin repair on the 120 to do. Looking forward to seeing how the counter weight works on the 850J.
Good to see you wearing the bright yellow hoody from The Captain.
Brings back great memories of trucking with my dad ❤ Never thought one of your videos would make me teary-eyed! Definitely miss him, so it's great to see how you and your son interact!
Great watch this morning glad to hear the Mac puppy is doing great now the Buss on the other hand lol 👍👋🇨🇦

Thanks buddy
25:45 I remember that hill. That is where you and Matt used the ripper to tear out all of the rock so you could run the utilities up to the house where you also put in the septic tank and field lines.
Looks like it has got its horses back. Although the roads are a bit more unsafe now that officer Hoover is occupied.

I just read Officer Hoover's column in the "Hook and Winch" newsletter for ITWA ( Indiana Towing and Wrecker Association)
Never any doubt in my mind the “ole” puppy dog was going to perform well. Nice job sir. Thanks for the tag along video.

Who had doubts you were a competent mechanic?
Here is my video!!! 👍🏻👍🏻💯💯
The truck sounded great, Mike. Did you get the engine break adjusted to work better. It sounded like it was working the way it should. Good job!
Great job on puppy Mac. No barks! Oops, no brake downs.
The Mack sounds amazing
A 3 letter word for trouble is B U S !!! Enjoyed the Jake sound!
I think if you had a problem with the Mac repair, hauling your 850 was the test. Well done Mike
Mike, you certainly got skills with that MacK🤘🏼‼️
