  • Guru Jyoti Srivastava is a torchbearer of the Odissi dance tradition, dedicating her life to the classical arts from an early age. A devoted artist, she began performing at just four years old and went on to study under revered gurus like Valmiki Banerjee, Durga Charan Ranbir, and Srinath Raut. Her extensive training includes Odissi and Mohiniattam, Manipuri, and various folk dance forms, with her M.Phil. in classical music deepening her insight into the art.
    Numerous titles have distinguished her career, including the prestigious "Srinagar Mani" from Sur Singar Samsad in Mumbai. She has collaborated with luminaries like Guru Ramli Ibrahim in Malaysia and directed the Nehru Institute of Odissi Research and Training in Delhi, where she advanced her expertise in the style of Guru Deb Prasad Das.
    Above all, Guru Jyoti finds her greatest joy in mentoring young dancers. Through her institute, she imparts not only dance techniques but also the cultural richness of Odissi, nurturing a new generation of passionate artists who embody the grace, discipline, and devotion of this exquisite dance form. Her students carry forward her legacy, inspired by her dedication to the transformative power of art and her belief that dance is a universal language of emotion and beauty.
