- I'm still really unhappy about audio so next video gets an entirely re-worked VST configuration. Look forward to it hopefully sounding much better (IF I can figure out what in the world I am doing).

This is still such an impressive mod for the time it was made. So many features were included back in 0.5.1 in this mod, where they would be slowly added to the base game vehicles throughout the years, like the ignition system, jingling key in the interior, proper clutch simulation, opening panels, and even the sounds. I hope we get some official vintage or prewar vehicles soon.
well, someone remastered it, and it's pretty nice! You can't really control the panels well, but the model is still amazing.
The condition of roads in the 1920s was such that almost all cars produced back then had to be "off-road capable" just to get anywhere.
@@RetroOnSpeedDial cadillac had a V 16

those doors are called suicide doors
+Sten-Kristen Aleksašin (EestiGamerZero) Yes, but if I say suicide doors people won't know what I'm talking about so I have to explain what it is.
+WhyBeAre hello
+WhyBeAre dont wait till 1 mil subs for fcefam do it at 500k subs
+WhyBeAre what type of computer do u have because iv been wanting to get one to play beamng and spintires
+WhyBeAre how do you change gear modes with the hotkey?
I think it would be cool if Beam.ng Drive had airbags.
It would killl the cpu
It's true
There was an airbag mod released right after the Soliad Wendover came out, but it was only for a small variety of vehicles. I don’t remember it working correctly.
@@RealMatthewMorgan the 6 years later reply 😳😳
"It seems to be a higher-end car from that time period" Back in the 30's, the only manufacturer that was really building cars for the everyday person was Ford with the Model T. The production line idea hadn't yet been expanded through the motor industry, and so, for the most part, cars were still extremely expensive. And also, for the most part, the body of the car wasn't built by the same company that's badged it. Usually back then, the car's chassis and engine were sent off to a coach builder, who out-fitted the vehicle to the customer's specifications. What colour on the outside, weather it be sedan or tourer, even to what colour the carpets were. Cars were still a pretty big deal back then, and other than the Ford, were usually reserved for the elite, and only able to be bought by those with more cash than their local government.
+Mike “Relic-Loving” Gamer yes, I'm saying that the Model T was the only affordable option. 1920's and 30's were still not affordable. it wasn't until the 40's and 50's where more cars were more widely avalible.
Their are absolutely no true facts in this description
The 1920s were pre-depression and surprisingly common in the United States before the Great Depression in ‘29. Only a few cars were made in the 30s and although the Great Depression ended in ‘39, few cars were made before the US joined WWII in late 1941 and changed their production to mainly/fully militarized

A mod from the golden era of beamng modding, May it rest in peace (mods outdated)
Its been updated www.beamng.com/threads/updated-auriga-heron.63184/
1:40 ALL THE GAUGES!!!
33:11 "C'MON, OUT THE HOLE!!!"
In 1927, Auriga started to create vehicles. The first was Auriga Heron. The first prototype was a convertible, being totally famous that year, being 1.965 units built, with roof and convertible styles.
Realy? 16 minutes and it isn't 1080p yet?!?
lol i got 1080p straight away
+Kommandat friederich thenderknight no, the 1080p comes at the same time for everyone, it works it on his computer and internet, not yours. its slow apparently so yeah, you dont have it
I was gonna say dat

The cruise control function and the damper lever were featured in higher end cars of the era
WBR deserves much more subscribers then what he has
I agree so I subscribe.
Just pointing out it’s YBR
Look now 🅱️🅾️📍
I love how that tire randomly popped off and gave him no choice but to hit a tree. I also find it a tad ironic he was saying stuff about it just before it happened. xD
You're awesome WhyBeAre! My favourite!

If your wondering how early cars crashed, they were tanks. The reason they weigh 2 tons is because instead of fiberglass they were made of either steel or iron. Most had a manual choke nob and had a "streamlined" design .
+Dr. Jak G. Cogsworth My main curiosity is how well was the body attached to the frame. I would assume it varied from coach builder to coach builder.
Oh. Yeah most of them were built so the frame was completed then they rivet on the body.
28:47 The sound cose by the broken motors, who his make sound when he is broke
Just incase anyone wants to read it, This is what he meant to say: The sound caused by the broken engine, that makes the sound when its broken
@@DoggosGames yeah it was 4 years ago, English wasn't my things back then lol
ybr is the type of person who can make a reveiw of two versions of a car 40 min long and i like that
I think most front of cars look like faces
Yeah
YAS
Yes
A lot of early cars were basically carriages that had engines in them. A lot of the design elements were borrowed from horse drawn carriages. The lever manually advances or retards the ignition timing for different driving conditions, something that was not needed with the advent of more modern ignition systems.
Me: **scrolling through vids** NEW YBR VID YAAAAAASSSSSSSSS MORE CARS WHOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO
epic
WhyBeAre!!! I'm a huge fan of your videos! I love Beam.NG Drive!!! Are you going to do more RC simulation videos?
Steering wheel in the middle of the car and two seats on the left and on the right.... 1993 Mclaren F1 ?
I was thinking that too, lemme check.
lol, i thought that too! haha :D
There are 2 adjacent seats, but they are facing forward.
I was thinking the first range rovet
+TobRacer The car I was thinking of was the 1925 Julian Sport Coupe. The only reason I know of the car is because I have seen it before in person. Turns out there is only 1 in the world. Here's a page that has a bunch of pictures of it and information www.autoinformant.com/users/nvnam/car_pages/307

The front doors are called suicide doors because they would open when you go around corners.
still waiting for the uptade vehicles review...
+DJ MEK Eventually, I do things in the order that I think they would be interesting. There are a few mods that are more interesting to me then the stock cars still though.
getting close to half a million. keep going ryan
The front door is called a "suicide door"
+Charzo Gaming Yes, but last time I said that half the people had no idea what I meant so I had to explain what the door was instead of calling it by the name.
+WhyBeAre ok
Ah yes, before the CrashHardClassic.
why is the video in 360p???
its not on 360p im on 1080p its probably because you watch it on a phone or something
+Jeffrey Levesque No, it's RUclips that's taking time processing. I know this cause it's the same with my own vids. Even tho RUclips says it has finished processing and published it, it really isn't finished x)
i know now
The car you said had a seat in the middle and a seat on either side was the McLaren F1 made in 1994. It held the record for fastest production car in the world for about 15 years.
+Kevon Usher The car I was thinking of was the 1925 Julian Sport Coupe. The only reason I know of the car is because I have seen it before in person. Turns out there is only 1 in the world. Which car do you have in real life?
I think he has a Mazda RX-8
+Skitty™ | Garry's Mod Player he said he used to have an RX-7 not an RX-8. He said that in one of his older vids.
+Vehicle Vector he has/had both, believe it or not.
Really hoping that we'll see a video on the Burnside soon. :3

bro time travelled from 2024 to get this mod
funny at the end how the whole car burst into flames and whybeare (ybr) didn't say a word about it
It's not the same model, the tourer has half height doors and a different windscreen. The sedan is also sort of a convertible, but when the roof is down it wouldn't be the same as the tourer. It's designed to be a fully covered car.
sounds like a McLaren F1 with the wheel in the middle
Our vintage tractor has a throttle on the steering wheel like that, but it is for keeping it at working throttle without using the pedal
the ending part driving down lep of death is even more better then when he did it in the truck,
The lever is a throttle. It was the main way of controlling the engine before the foot pedal accelerator was introduced.
that sound was the engine raving without any fuel going to it
Dashboard reminds me of the caterham. The gauges were everywhere on that thing too- as the passenger, it was my job to keep an eye on the fuel gauge.
I love how right on the end it goes up in flames
If I had to guess, the deformation in the t-bone crash was caused by the frame of the moving car hitting the body of the parked car.
The mod has been remade! It’s free on the repo.
that was like an awesome action shot in a movie 36:10 also I love the way the tires looked coming hitting the ramp at 36:19
21:30 2 people with Herons were trying to figure out what all the dials do and no paying attention to the meteophoric road when they craaaaashed.
For a good example of roads in the '20's lookup a video called "Oilfield Dodge"
I'm so glad I'm not you
Here for the curiosity created from its “mention” in the crashhard classic video
25:50 THE OTHER AURIGA IS MELTING INTO A FIREBALL!
Another brilliant vid, I wish you'd upload more often seen all your videos so far.
I absolutely love this car! This is my favorite! So happy I downloaded it on my BeamNG.drive.
They also refer to reverse suicide doors in that position and the steering wheel has no power steering. Also the car in real life would equal to a Duesenburg or a Packard
It drives really good for a 1927 car. Better than some of the standard cars.
How would a 1920's car look with all the technology of now a days
A hotrod
perfect ride for hipsters
the reason the car holds up when front impact but doesn't for side impacts could be to do with the body and chassis being separate unlike modern cars so when you hit it from the side your ripping it off the chassis whereas for front end impacts the chassis makes the contact not the body
Imagine that a guy driving an manual car in present day just went to the post-WW1 periods and found a job of a sedan driver
+yiu yeung Kan then he yells, hey why is the car not shifting!
I drive a Manuel truck from the 60s
I need to buy the game now, iam a big fan of classic cars (and WhyBeAre) :3
I love the classic large steering wheels! So awesome!
Hey Whybeare, i remember you did a video on how to make your own car, and i also know you know your way around a map editor so, do you think you could pull off making a Train?
And if you can do that would you make a small map for the train to actualy run on?
And the crank is for the windows because in the 1920s there were no power windows back then (And apparently even today in the 21st century and in real life the military uses it for simplicity)
> expects to see some driving
"Let's crash it!"
yeah, no thanks.
Hey! The giant couches they call seats are comfortable. I mean have you sat in one, it is like you haven't left your home :-)
another greet vid dude i been Subscribed for 3 years now i think..
That first car is a Rolls Royce and I love the way it looks perfectly modeling
Your saying back then to my great great grandma! And im mad of that!
That squealing was the engine being VERY damaged.
YBR pls awnser what do you recommend to fix the beam ng drive like the 6 ai's that you put in the game like in you video
please tell me the names of all, or most of the maps you have used, along with the airplanes, and helicopters. maybe even some of the cars, because i REALLY want this game. i will probably need to download this stuff when i get the game. btw nice videos! im a big fan of them
7 Liter
V12 but has less HP than my FRS
Back then cars were built to last
36:14 In Brutal Slope, the tyres blew because the extreme speed : every tyre have a speed limit, marked by a letter.
the tire sounds are like when people are talking in We love Katamari lol
Got to remember metal back then was alot thicker
Nice to see BeamNG including cars from an era before crash safety became a thing.
this should be official content
+WhyBeAre when the doors open on the opposite side they're called suicide doors most 20's art deco limo sedans had those they were called suicide doors because when you got out you had the door behind you and if a car was too close and coming in the opposite direction the you would be squished between the door and the other car
+Just Colby Yes, but last time I said that half the people had no idea what I meant so I had to explain what the door was instead of calling it by the name.
+WhyBeAre okay
If both hood housings open the two would rub each other or the hinges would snap
The tires predate radial tires, bias-ply technology. I wonder how the designer took that into account.
+WhyBeAre I was looking at a Mazda RX7 as my drifting car, cuz I have enough for one as well as enough for $7,000 in upgrades. Would it be a good drifting(or a good car that you would take on a nice road) car or should I keep looking. (Basically would it be fun on windy country road?)
On old cars, those levers were to adjust timing,
at 1.23 one more pan. YOU DID 50 OR SO BEFOR THAT!!!!! WE GET WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE!!! sheesh!!
If that cars old and slide but easy to control then.... LET THE ELDERLY PEOPLE DRIFT!!!
Now I want BeamNG to make a 20s or 30s car with a hot rod variant
I want you to have a drag race between the tourer and the sedan on grid small pure
The lever on the left of the steering wheel is called a choke
+WhyBeAre You need to redo the going up and down Leap of Death videos with a older car, but it has to be non-muscle and it can't be any newer than 1985.
hey whybeare plz answer this. why are you only posting 1 video every week or whatever? you are my favorite youtuber so whenever you dont have a new video i get kinda sad
+DarkArcherCL Because work comes before hobbies. Gotta have money to be able to buy food.
WhyBeAre
oh well that makes sense if thats the case than i still love your videos so much that i rewatch them like 50 times
How do you know what version of the game is this still compatable? Download doesn't really say
when you thought you heard fire on leap of death, you must have heard my mix tape.
the 1910 Ford model t touring went for $950 brand new... oh and YBR, your right cars back then had no power steering, but try driving a heavy truck from the 20s, 30s, 40s, when you're stationary you can't even turn the wheel, so alley docking and moving at slow speeds was fuckin' nightmare!
Them cars go crunch.
