Exactly the same set up I've been using for over a year now, it is by far the most comfortable riding jacket ever! Did Austria and Switzerland with it last year and with the thin windproof underneath it was ideal when the temperature drops up in the mountains. Back down and into the 20s just remove your inner jacket, the best set up i've ever found for touring, bonus is that your waterproof and windproof fold away to almost nothing for packing away

Hey up tsport, I can see your point 😁, but a lot ride only when it's warm, most would have a waterproof outer to use and when you buy the outer and a inner, it's cost less than a rukka and it's comfier and more versatile, win win, thanks for dropping a comment, ride safe Simon B

This is a good video Simon. Excellent review. But, TSport has a point. I’ve seems a handful of videos on this jacket and each describes the use of other products to make a system for any specific condition. The thing is, the same can be said for any mesh jacket with armor. Supplement with a vest or down jacket for warmth, add wind stop or rain gear on top etc.
I do like the stretch feature, but I’m skeptical about airflow compared to a traditional open mesh like a simple Rev’it mesh.
KLIM generally has excellent quality, and the level 2 rating is a big plus.
Overall, I think the sales pitch is less about other products that make this product good, and more about a good (not great) airflow but with comfortable wear, good quality and a higher level of safety.

I wear my mesh year around. Add a windoroof jacket under when it gets cool and a puffer jacket when a little colder. Rain jacket over mesh for rain or very cold with everything under.

I think it's an interesting idea to have a system where you build up different layers to get a functional year-round outfit, I think it's a decent solution for touring in the summer but it is also nice to just throw on a jacket and be ready for most eventualities. I managed to get a Halvarssons Walkyr for £250 this year which is just stunning value for a laminate jacket, I accept it has some downsides but as something to throw on and be good to go on the bike it's great. I think for my next set of riding gear I'll be looking for stuff that I can wear on and off the bike with similar levels of comfort, so possibly the Marrakesh jacket and Klim's Outrider or Switchback trousers. My Walkyr/Wish combo is great if I'm firmly planted in the rider's seat for hours at a time, but for getting on and off to take photos of scenery or going for a hike at a destination they have me pouring buckets of sweat...

Hey up Geshmaal, just got back from 5 days touring Scotland, the marakesh jacket performed brilliant, average temp was 23 degrees, I combined it with my John Doe stretch combat pants, it was a delight to ride 1400 miles in, I had taken my Scott waterproofs but didn't need them, I've never been so comfortable on a tour, well worth, I'll be doing a review on the pants soon 👍, thanks for dropping a comment, ride safe, Simon B 👍

Been watching the chap woth the cap from motolgends and he has really made me rethink about riding gear. They recommended the Klim jacket to me. I think you've convinced me that this is definitely the way to go. I'm a fair weather rider, but as you know in the UK you can't avoid the rain or the cold. As I don't like to ride in the rain it just seems silly to have a super gortex laminate. The Scot jacket just makes so much sense as, like the Rab it packs down so you can carry a complete solution around with you all the time.
Great vid, I feel confident in going for this set up now. Ride safe 🏍️

Hello from Australia. Great review, I bought the new Klim Resilience 2 weeks ago which is a mid layer, been wearing a Klim tshirt then the Resilience then a Klim Dakar jersey over the top as it is just coming into our winter at the moment. Ive been tossing up between the Inductiin and the Marrakesh for commuting/ dual sporting. Love your idea of the duck down as I have one whick very rarely gets used. You have made me decide on the Marrakesh. I think with layers I will be able to ride in all seasons here. Also the Marrakesh will look the goods on the KLR and the Indian scout bobber.

Amazingly I went to Motolegends and bought that exact jacket for the hot weather, served by Sarah Chrises wife. Having arrived in a full Halvarsen jacket and trousers and Forma boots. So wearing the Klim I said well I need jeans then Sidi said Sarah, so then wearing them Falco Ranger boots were next on. Chris then fitted hip protectors in the jeans, they then packed up my Halvarsen kit and Forma boots and had them couriered to Basingstoke the next day free of charge. I will not buy clothing or helmets in any other shop.
As for the Klim as you say a game changer and will get the trousers next and I already have the Scott jacket and trousers. I can see the Halvarsen kit being consigned to my garage hanging rail.

The zip is the girls way round maybe because it’s a girls jacket .To be honest it looks a bit girly ,for a bikers jacket .The price at 300 quid is not bad ,but when you add the price of the other layers needed to compliment it ,it’s more for your image conscious posh biker fashionistas

Hey up the masked avenger, thought you were joking then but I think your serious, the zip is the other way round as it's American, for the quality and fit and protection the money is irrelevant, can't agree to thinking its just a fashion jacket, but that's why we are all different and like different things, and spend our money different ways, I'm just sick of buying crap stuff and things that don't fit properly, the problem is that most stuff that is better usually cost more, so if you don't want a comfy jacket with protection you don't have to buy one, thanks for dropping a comment, much appreciated, ride safe, Simon B 👍
