Princess Agents was actually one of my first introductions into Chinese dramas and as a result I’ve been a big fan of hers ever since. I 100% hate the ending and agree it will never get a sequel. But I’m so glad she has returned to acting and is getting into more serious roles. I wish her all the best. And appreciate your discussion about her.

The only reason I came to terms with the ending of PA is because I read the novel after that. I had to use google translate on half of it because it wasn't fully translated yet, but at least I got a real ending :-)

Ooooh, Zhao Liying!!!! One of my favourite actresses ^^ She was one of the first actresses I came upon when started watching dramas and she surely managed to leave a lasting impression. She can pull off anything - sweet, kick-ass, downright adorable, cool and everything in between. And her kick-ass can be of both kinds - martial arts kick-ass or smarts kick-ass like in Minglan. Truly look forward to her future works and see her take even more grounded/complex roles :D And really hope Legend of Fei will work out for her, had heard of how the script was being revised and so forth after she had already signed the contract and couldn't change it.
I've been MIA lately cause I've been busy working. Decided to play this while working and man I just realized I've pretty much followed most of her career. I first saw her in the remake of Princess Pearl and like you, thought she was pretty but forgot about her. Fell in love with her in Legend of Lu Zhen and it's been history since. I can't believe people would go out of their own way to make fun of people's background and speech. Those are things you can't really help even if you can try to improve it. Also, it's crazy how they married their other self and numerology sounds so interesting.

Ive watched a looot of her dramas and i do believe a lot of them are like trashy tv dramas, but so easy to watch and so freaking entertaining. She has a very smart and hardworking aura, so her characters are super lovable.
She is my most favourite actress😍😍😍 l have first seen her in the drama the mistic nine and loved her cuteness.. after that l watched her in journey of a flower, boss and me, rookie agent rouge, princess agents,our glamorous time and legend of Chusen... but l just love her on the story of ming lan ,l don't know much about the lights or anything but l found the story to be well written and l think she pulled it through, l have seen that drama 6 times already..wish her the best and hopefully to see her in more dramas ...
My all time favorite drama of hers was Princess Agent. She was spectacular in that, and I agree, the ending sucked, but everything in between was WELL worth the watch...especially the relationship between Liying's character and the second leading man, Shawn Dou. It was the only time I had 'second lead syndrome', the dynamic between them was great.
I have watched 90% of her dramas as the main lead but her most outstanding role is definitely the palace ironically which is a supporting role in a movie. Her negative portrayal of an ambitious girl that gets caught up in a power hungry filled palace. Playing sweet everytime can get overwhelming exhausting to the audience like Yang Mi trapped in portraying the same Eternal love character in all her recent dramas!
Her role in Minglan is so amazing to me. Like, I didn’t feel like i was watching a person on screen. She felt like a real person. It was incredible to watch!
She is my very first favourite Chinese actress. She literally brought me to Cdramaland. The only drama of hers that I didn't watch (yet) is The Story of Ming Lan. I wish Legend of Fei will be released before the year ends.

I loved Zhao Liying since the New Returning Princess Pearl, I noticed her right away and felt she had more screen charisma then the two leading actresses. I didn’t feel she was not leading lady material at all. Boss and Me just cemented her for me as my favorite Chinese actress.
I think a lot of the current super popular actresses are beautiful but lack great acting skills, but Zhao Li Ying is one of the few is that is truly the full package - strong acting chops, beautiful, smart about picking projects, and draws in the general public.

I first saw her in fb. A few clips from princess agent. The wolf part. Then i manage to watch the series. I was really in awe with the drama. I dont mind the lighting effects or the cheap production as they say. I was looking really the execution of the actors. All of them contribute. The fight scenes was amazing. The drama and their characters were so convincing. No matter gow cheap the production is it doesnt matter. The actors matters. I also like the director actually for he able to manage those fight scenes. It is like every chapter is worthy. Im not that fan yet of her. I search her dramas coz for she seems a good actress. I watch then glamorous time，boss and me. that confirms me she is really good. Each of those characters, i didnt see liying, i saw her as lin qian, shan shan and chu qiao. Portraying her roles is awesome. That is what we called a gem in drama series. A rare good actress.

She can pull off anything - sweet, kick-ass, downright adorable, cool and everything in between. And her kick-ass can be of both kinds - martial arts kick-ass or smarts kick-ass like in Minglan.
Truly look forward to her future works and see her take even more grounded/complex roles :D
And really hope Legend of Fei will work out for her, had heard of how the script was being revised and so forth after she had already signed the contract and couldn't change it.

I've been MIA lately cause I've been busy working. Decided to play this while working and man I just realized I've pretty much followed most of her career. I first saw her in the remake of Princess Pearl and like you, thought she was pretty but forgot about her. Fell in love with her in Legend of Lu Zhen and it's been history since.
I can't believe people would go out of their own way to make fun of people's background and speech. Those are things you can't really help even if you can try to improve it. Also, it's crazy how they married their other self and numerology sounds so interesting.

She is my most favourite actress😍😍😍 l have first seen her in the drama the mistic nine and loved her cuteness.. after that l watched her in journey of a flower, boss and me, rookie agent rouge, princess agents,our glamorous time and legend of Chusen... but l just love her on the story of ming lan ,l don't know much about the lights or anything but l found the story to be well written and l think she pulled it through, l have seen that drama 6 times already..wish her the best and hopefully to see her in more dramas ...
My all time favorite drama of hers was Princess Agent. She was spectacular in that, and I agree, the ending sucked, but everything in between was WELL worth the watch...especially the relationship between Liying's character and the second leading man, Shawn Dou. It was the only time I had 'second lead syndrome', the dynamic between them was great.

I have watched 90% of her dramas as the main lead but her most outstanding role is definitely the palace ironically which is a supporting role in a movie. Her negative portrayal of an ambitious girl that gets caught up in a power hungry filled palace. Playing sweet everytime can get overwhelming exhausting to the audience like Yang Mi trapped in portraying the same Eternal love character in all her recent dramas!

I loved Zhao Liying since the New Returning Princess Pearl, I noticed her right away and felt she had more screen charisma then the two leading actresses. I didn’t feel she was not leading lady material at all. Boss and Me just cemented her for me as my favorite Chinese actress.
I think a lot of the current super popular actresses are beautiful but lack great acting skills, but Zhao Li Ying is one of the few is that is truly the full package - strong acting chops, beautiful, smart about picking projects, and draws in the general public.

One of my favorite Chinese actresses!! I liked most of her dramas! (Except princess agent but that wasn’t because of her) the one that made me a hardcore fan was story of minglan!! I really liked her acting there
I first saw her in fb. A few clips from princess agent. The wolf part. Then i manage to watch the series. I was really in awe with the drama. I dont mind the lighting effects or the cheap production as they say. I was looking really the execution of the actors. All of them contribute. The fight scenes was amazing. The drama and their characters were so convincing. No matter gow cheap the production is it doesnt matter. The actors matters. I also like the director actually for he able to manage those fight scenes. It is like every chapter is worthy. Im not that fan yet of her. I search her dramas coz for she seems a good actress. I watch then glamorous time，boss and me. that confirms me she is really good. Each of those characters, i didnt see liying, i saw her as lin qian, shan shan and chu qiao. Portraying her roles is awesome. That is what we called a gem in drama series. A rare good actress.
