I don't know if anyone noticed. In first season, harvey actually never showed emotions on his face. Whether he was angry, sad, happy, his straight face never changed. But from season 2 and especially the episode where Daniel Hardman comes back, his emotions were clearly visible. I find the harvey of first season lot more attractive.
He said that in the interview that we wanted to show harvey as a person who doesn't care in the 1st season but we decided in the beginning only that as the show will gradually go on we will show a soft side of harvey showing that things actually affect him alot and he is hurting inside but doesn't like to show that to everyone. Remember when he went to see the psychiatrist....she also told him that problems are from your past ...you just don't want to accept that and show that you are strong enough to handle. So according to me the character of harvey was well written and they knowingly showed Harvey's other side throughout the seasons
Ps. Travis is a changed man. He gave one of his case to Katrina on Mike's advice so that Harvey doesn't take it up on his ego and hurt the woman Travis was representing.
