Hi, can you help on this? My son already 7 years old. When I give simple instructions eg ask him to wash hand, take cup and keep toy at home, he always wants me go with him. He always wants me to follow his instructions.

Hello, can you confirm whether your son wants you to accompany him because he doesn't know how to do it, lacks confidence, or simply wants you to be there, or is it because he wants to feel a sense of control?
If you are sure that he knows how to do these things and is familiar with them but still insists on having you accompany him, then it could be that he is seeking a sense of control. Children aged 3-6 have a strong need for autonomy and often want to feel like they are in charge. If they always have to follow adults' instructions at home without any room for their own decisions, they might feel uncomfortable and thus start making demands, like asking adults to join them in tasks (as you mentioned above).
The solution is to offer your child "two choices" when you want them to do something. Both options should be acceptable to you, no matter which one they choose.
This way, the child can pick the option they prefer, gaining a sense of control. You can give this method a try.
