@@classical7 their videos are great, and I think as great as this video was for their successes, it comes across as tho they suffered no hardships in their career, which is definitely not the case
@@milesspence6004 Right. As fellow ARMY, we totally understand the hardships & struggles they've gone through to get to where they are. One INTRO video won't be enough to showcase that. I forgot to mention, another awesome series made by ARMY is *"RISE OF BANGTAN"* 😁💜
The creator of this video has posted an upgraded version video, is called "The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A Story of BTS (2021 Updated); Since he made this video (the video you watched) BTS has reached more records so I think you can check it out. In the video (The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A Story of BTS (2021 Updated)) you don't need to watch the whole thing, the new stuff starts i the minute 29:06. Ok, now i'm going to watch your reaction 😊
Epiphany was that song that really made me look at myself and ask did I really love myself? was I taking take of myself? the answer was no, I didn't like myself at all or how I looked. That one song made me stop and really think why I did that to myself all my life. I changed as a person after and I started enjoying how I looked and slowly accepted myself for who I am. It's still a work in progress because like RM said, "what is loving yourself, who can define it, I don't know but loving myself is my whole life goal until my death". BTS knows all the struggles we face in our youth because they themselves have experienced it and write about it in their music. Think of their music discography as a biography of their life, their emotions at the time and their thoughts. I really hope you enjoy your journey with us and BTS and keep pausing to share your thoughts, its good to hear your perspective on the groups because we've watched these videos hundreds of times and so many reactors never comment or care to say anything meaningful so thank you!
Epiphany really has a way of touching deep (lyrically, and the way Jin sings it). this is the song that gave me strength and carried me thru a rough patch in a long-term relationship with my sig other. fortunately, we're both BTS fans/ARMY, so actually talked things out, with the help of the thoughtful lyrics of BTS songs. that's how meaningful their music has become to my life journey as well. how can we not be grateful to them.
@@jcasa3646 I'm so glad epiphany was able to help with your relationship, thank you for sharing how important it is that we have BTS music has in our lives.
I'm 46 yo dude Army since 2018. Also a big fan of MJ. One day i introduce MJ to my 18 yo daughter and said "these days you wont see an artist as big as him". She reply "yes there is" and introduce me to BTS. My first Mv and live performance was Fake Love....and since then i've been falling deep in this BTS rabbit hole...huhuhu.
Their lyrics, their outlook on life, their chemistry and sense of humor(run bts is a show where you can see that clearly) and just the more i get to know them the more inspired and amazed i get, even their interviews are amazing
My first encounter with BTS was not even about music. RM, the leader spoke at the UN Assembly in 2018, and it blew me away. What an intellectual, eloquent speaker this young man is, delivering speech on self love and hope, these group must be something special. Coincidently it was in August '18 their comeback month with LY Tear, so i checked out their comeback performance of Fake Love at the BBMAs. Needless to say, the rest is history, im still down here in the BTS rabbithole and will be here for a long long time 😆👍
Their first song - literally - was called "No More Dream" and it was about not living your parent's dream... BTS is what is called a working band. It's hard to catch up with everything they've done in the last 8 years. If you stick around and you aren't here just for the views, you'll never be bored. 🙆♀️💜 usa
I'm a 55 year old ARMY and I found them when I needed them most. I had just lost my best friend, my chocolate Lab, Sophie back in 2015 and I accidentally found the DOPE MV in my side bar on youtube and that was it for me. I was in. They were so different and I'd never really been into a boy band before (maybe a little N-Sync back in the day) but not like this. You can feel their sincerity and pure honest love for their fans. They've never let me down even when the world was crashing around me these past few years. JHope once said he hopes we will look back on this time and that liking BTS will be the best decision we ever made and he's right. It was. Thanks so much for the reactions! New Subscriber.
BTS are the biggest artist of South Korea now and also for all time. They have won the highest number of awards, sold almost 30millions of album and topped every korean chart possible. Like they are literally the biggest national treasure of South Korea now. Recently the president has appointed them as the "Special Presidential Envoy" for future generation and culture and that's why BTS will present speech in UN for the third time in this September.
I realised Im ARMY and not just casual listener when i found myself really offended when I heard people talk bad of BTS. While i was drawn to them because of their music, it was their humility, hard work and them as a group and as people that inspire me the most and make me stay.
They are definitely huge in Korea and sweep grad awards at every major award show each year. Koreans value them as national treasures and they have recently been appointed as Presidential Envoys! As for North Korea, I don’t think they’ve ever explicitly defined their stance, but I imagine they feel the same as most South Koreans about the divide. It is an extremely painful memory for our country. We really fell victim to outside conflicts and, along with our country, our families, monarchy, and economy were torn apart. Our history is one full of anger, but also of nationalism and camaraderie. Now, thanks to the rise of BTS and other Korean exports we can finally see our country prospering on a global scale. Though we may never feel complete, this success makes me feel proud to be Korean.
If my country would have a group of people like BTS, we definetly would treat them as National treasures, but what ive seen and tried to learn, there is still a huge portion of people in Korea who has no clue about them. Or more specificly, they think BTS is just an idol group who happened to get famous overseas and dont really understan the influence they have or the importance of their achievements. I get that in general, these idol group dont really hold that kind of significance, so thats propably why most people who are not into kpop, dont do any kind of research about them. Hopefully in the future people will see more of a clear line between idol groups and BTS, not just in Korea but everywhere else as well. Something that i also found as well while reseaching was that there are quite a few "BTS experts" and university professors that have started to teach various things about BTS in their classes at shcool and some even "selling" these lessons to places like different companys. I find that pretty interesting. The positive side that it has, is that this way people who dont even listen to kpop or doesnt even know about BTS, will learn actual facts about them, their music, company, marketing ect. I think that is a really good way of educating people. I think my point was that as much as i would love to think BTS is being appreciated properly in their home country, i think there is still a way to go. This is an issue for them in everywhere they go..
In Sept 2020 my daughter's kept pestering me to watch them. I heard them playing a song called "The Truth Untold" and instantly fell in love with 2 lines "You know I can't show you me, give you me" sung by Jungkook and "I'm so afraid" sung by V. The haunting melody sucked me in. I started to look at more songs, discovered Run BTS and fell in love with their message, personalities, lyrical genius, dance choreography, music production etc etc etc. Then i discovered the Bangtan Universe. I love mysteries and long running story lines. Still diving down the rabbit hole and loving every minute. I am a 48 year old ARMY from UK and they have brought me even closer to my daughters. It has been said that BTS finds you when you need them. I am sorry to hear about your shoulder and hope it gets better soon. Good luck with your move. Borahae 💜
I decide to become BTS fan because their energy, their personality, not music, not talent, not appearance. In the beginning, they're just make me smile, and happy, everyday, everytime whenever i watch their video (BTS Funny Moments & more ). They give me such a big positive vibe and i really appreciate it. That's the reason why i started to know more about this group. So now, not just personality anymore, the music, talent, appearance,... everything about them, i love it all. They literally saved my life from their massages, so now for me, we're more than idol and fan 💜
For me it was their authenticity and their respect. They even changed their coreographies or timetables if it meant that it could affect any of their fans when doing concerts. They study every culture and every country that they go to and they genually love their fans and each other. Now they are a family, more than ever and also they are creative genius and own a part of big hit music. Things happen so fast that even this video that has less than a year is out of date. They have done tons of other things since then (such as being nominated for a grammy, released be that was all done by them, from cover to music video, won awards, broke records...). But, no matter what they stayed humble and true. They do livestreams and they talk about themselves, their emotions and their daily lifes as if their army was their own family and this applies to most of the fandom too. They have their own variety show that is run bts and there they experience all kind of things (from sports to dubbing). And now in their home country they got recognision by the president himself and now they are South Korea's representative for youth on the UN. They contribute to a big amount of the income of their home country too. Their Army is also one big family. It is more than a fandom, matches the boys donations to charity, has even schools online and psycologists that help others for free if they need to. It is a whole community based on genuine love and for me this is pure magic. As a musician that is not USA based, seeing someone going worldwide just by being themselves and sharing themselves through music is the most inspiring. Thank you for taking your time to get to know them. If I'm sure of smth in my life is that I never regret having crossed paths with them. I hope you enjoy this journey. Nice reaction, btw. And thank you!
6 min in and just realized, you have not seen these men dance yet! You just happened to watch performances without dance to this point. I look forward to seeing you experience their dancing, amazing music videos, meaningful lyrics, overarching stories, inspiring work ethic, generosity, bond with their fans, sense of humor, and how humble they remain. I am enjoying your reviews and look forward to more!
Most people have really inspirational stories of how they became an Army but that's not the case for everyone. I just liked there music and the way they sounded, then I got to know their names and the meaning behind they're music. Although I didn't know them during the hard times in my life they still manage to give me a sense of comfort when I look back. I hope they'll be able to be there for in the future too💜
You're doing great - welcome to the world of BTS. I'm an ARMY since 2015, here from New Zealand & luv seeing new ppl engage with BTS & everything they've done! Enjoy hearing your insights... thanks for sharing!
As of tonight, billboard has posted 18 weeks of HOT100 so far to the likely BBMAs 2022 eligibility year. Within this period BTS has been #1 for 10 out of the 18 weeks with both Butter and Permission to dance. HOT100 has issued 31 weekly rankings in 2021 and BTS took 10/31 and has spent a total of 15 weeks at #1 at BB Hot100 throughout their career. As always loved your reaction! 💜
I met them with their song "Boy with love". I'm 37 years old... and i don't know how to describe BTS in my life. People say "You met BTS in thé right moment. You met them when you need to". And... it's weird... but they help me in my daily life.
@@mannyreacts944 yw 💜 hope you feeling better about that shoulder today! Also, once again, Butter is the only English song left so pls react to the tonight show live one, Butter beat their own Dynamite record on YT under 24hrs … take care(:
i found them around the time they released their "love yourself: her" album so 2017, and ever since all of their songs have resonated with me in all kinds of ways, but the first song i remember changed my outlook in life and actually gave me hope was "paradise", released in 2018 in the album "love yourself: tear". at the time i was going through a very tough time because all my friends and even my younger family members seemed to be evolving in their lives and going further than i was, faster. i felt left behind, i looked around and not only did i see everyone i knew getting places and doing great, i also saw myself exactly in the same place i was a year prior, and the year before that. so bts released this album Precisely when i needed it most. the album in general talks about the consequences of attempting to love someone before loving yourself, and amongst the broad variety of topics each song touches on, Paradise absolutely knocked me out and rebooted my brain. first of all it's widely known to be one of bts' best songs, ~a fact acknowledged by everyone except bts themselves 😭💔 but we not about to get into that today~ but the message is just.... perfect for me. the song talks about how people are taught they must become something great in life, to always work as hard as they could and achieve as much as they can before time runs out. but bts says that, really, all we "need" to seek is happiness. and no one can tell us what should make us happy, that is decided by ourselves. they say, if you have a big dream and you want to work hard to reach it, then so be it, but if right now your only wish is to buy a laptop or drink a cup of coffee, then there's nothing else you MUST look forward to. there's no need to have a dream, we can just seek to be happy and healthy. a simple life is worth living too, "there's no need to run without knowing where you're going", they say, "stop running for nothing". and that allowed me to take it easy, to put it a bit metaphorically, it allowed me to stop running aimlessly and just take a look at the scenery around me. which surprisingly naturally led me to figure out where i wanted to go with my life and which activities i wanted to work hard on. not because i was expected to but because i finally started to focus on doing what made me happy.
what makes BTS different is that they literally make you feel like the 8th member. They interact so much with us that we just feel like more than an artist and its fandom but a family.
Number one among the many reasons why I supports BTS are their humble personalities, which humbled me and that really makes me so happy and also gives me hope for humanity. There are still people who are genuinely care knowing BTS stature in the music entertainment industry or as artists in general. I'm just so grateful to have exist with BTS era💜💜💜😌
I accidentaly found them back in 2016 and has been a fan since then! never in our wildest dream that they would take over the world, I remember in 2017 I was joking to my friend "let's get BTS a GRAMMY lmao" and in 2020 they were nominated....at first back then we wanted to dominate Korea completely but bc of the constant dedication and the ever-growing fanbase they just became too big to ignore and caught global attention my first BTS concert in 2017(Indonesia) had a 13k capacity, and my last concert was in Wembley with 80k capacity its wildddddd how much they grew and evolved! It truly felt like watching a movie.
@@mannyreacts944 It's like a war zone to get tickets haha, in the first minute the front area would be all sold out! and now they're even more popular....It's almost impossible to get front row, tickets will cost a grand or so if you miss it the first try
I agree with you that a miracle wasn’t part of their success but rather hard work, persistence, talent, resilience, fate, authenticity, humility, respect, love for their fans to name a few!!!
Yes it was 2018, mins you I found BTS in 2017 but I was going through a very dark moment and I put on Magic Shop and I realized at that moment that song, this group saved my life.
I was introduced by my roommate and went from interested to obsessed in less than a week. After watching Deachwita I was done. That changed everything and made me a Suga bias for life.
Holaa! In my case, after ignoring them for years (I had been hearing their name for a long time but never gave them a chance) one day YT recommended a music video of them and I went in out of curiosity .. first liked what I was listening to , but the scenery and the symbolisms and messages that were in the video blew my mind, then I continued watching video after video, and their voices, their raps, their choreography I really liked .. and it was there that I began to explore their albums, I looked the lyrics, and the explanations and all that, it really blew my mind, they have BEAUTIFUL and powerful and meaningful lyrics .. Up to that point I considered myself a "casual listener" but I began to get to know the members, and their story, their humility, kindness captivated me (it was not a physical attraction) and when I began to support them as a person, there I considered myself ARMY
the song that made me ARMY was Boy With Luv, but today my favorite songs are Tomorrow, Blue and Gray, Magic Shop, Mikrokosmos and Jamais Vu. And the solos are Singularity, Serendipity, First Love, Reflection, MAMA, Epiphany and Begin
The song that change my life was "spring day" a love one had died that time and I am not a person that shares it feelings, so my parents lt no one knew what I was going trough. I always cry alone because I am scared that people won't understand me, "spring day" was a song that I could relate to and it felt like for one in my life, someone understude me. When I saw the explains video I could helped but cry. After that I found "ephiphany" and sense then I new I was a fan. That song tough me how to love myself and sense I hated myself that song gives me comfort. I always struggle with that kind of stuff as well as depressing and more, I feel like bts music is the only thing that brings me joy and helps me get trough that every day. Finding bts and his amazing people card army, was the best thing that ever happened to me. Thank you bts 💜
BTS came into this boricua's life in 2018, i had jusr gotten divorced and was driving in the car with my girls. My 13yr old at the time ask me to play their song.."Fake Love" so ironic i know. But that was just the biggining..And I'll just add that I'm a 51yr old ARMY.💜
My teenage daughter showed me their MV for Not Today, and while I thought it was very well done it didn't hook me. But I wanted to appreciate the group my daughter loved so much. She taught me their names and quizzed me on their faces. She played their music while we were in the car and I started becoming more familiar with the songs. I found myself singing all the English parts. Lol But it was something about RM in the 'Save me' MV that caught me though. He REALLY drew me in. It was all over after that! 💜 42 yr old ARMY here for life!
I learned about them in 2017 I use to feel insecure and not love myself much, but when I listened to their songs I learned to love myself more and not to care about people's opinion.
My moment I became a fan of the them was back in 2018 when In a car journey my friend gave me headphones and told me to listen to them, I’d heard of Bts before but when listening to their b sides- in particular 134340- I was amazed. It’s just kind of a tumble since then they have SO MUCH amazing content wether it be their rap, lyrics, choreo, vocals, outside projects, charm and hilarity, etc. I’d ofcourse recommend you continue reacting^^
You should watch Heartbeat..it's a beautiful song even though it was made for their BTS world game soundtrack but it tell a story about how they met...it's beautiful..
Epiphany by Jin made me army 💜 Zero o'clock n black swan spiced it up ... n then I explored their discography n m addicted .. I love all of their songs now
Hello, I am Aastha from India. I actually got introduced to BTS after their Indian interview taken by Sakshima Shrivastav. After that I watched Run BTS episodes and enjoyed as hell. I am grateful to them in helping me cope up with depression after loosing my mother in 2020. Lots of love and support to them.💜 And thank you also for your hardwork. Loving the reaction videos.
I knew I was a fan as soon as I saw the first song on YT. It was the middle of the night and Jimmy fallon had them on and I thought it was interesting that 2 men were touching hands. You don’t see that in western culture. The lack of toxic masculinity really attracted me. And then YT just kept showing me stuff. There’s so much content it’s easy to get sucked down the rabbit hole. Then I started making ARMY friends and now it’s my life. My ARMY friends are my best friends. BTS came into my life at the time I needed their messages the most. I had left a 12 year domestic violence relationship with my little girl and I was still finding my feet. I needed to hear their messages of self love, I needed to hear that it’s ok not to be ok. That it’s ok to quit something. And it’s also ok to get a knock back and keep going. They gave me hope that there are good people in the world- not just them but also the majority of ARMY are amazing and giving people. I love the philanthropic initiatives of the fandom and the community of people it attracts. I know that my story is like so many others.
I became a fan through their deep meaningful lyric. So this is my story, i was nearly 30 yo. When i was finished my degree, had a long way to find a job and more likely like i feel so drained and lost, one day, i was listening to a random song, i was listen to a kpop since in my highschool, strangely that night, when i was listening to a random song and ‘Tomorrow’ appeared. I strangely got attracted by the song that i want to know the meaning. Yeah, urgently search the meaning of the song. The meaning of the song hit me. Yeah since that night until today nearly 6 years i was with them and their music/songs 💜
Yay!!! My one moment was after dynamite was released and they were on the James Corden show doing a segment called “Carpool Karaoke”. That segment was the first I was ever introduced to them and I fell in love with their personalities. After that I watched dynamite and watched guides like these to learn more!
There is an extended version that includes the current songs on the charts. I had heard of BTS years ago. They were on an award show or talk show or something and I went to look to see what they looked like and it was back when they were wearing all black and looked gothic to me, so I was like eh. 🤷🏽♀️ not my thing. Then in 2020 the Savage Love remix came out. And Jungkook’s voice had me wondering who was this amazing voice and oh shit what have I missed out on. So I went to RUclips to learn a bit more about them. I saw the episode of carpool karaoke with James Corden and they were so charming and funny. I wanted to know more. I heard On, Dynamite, and Black Swan and I was sold! Then I fell in a BTS content rabbit hole and fell in love! I have listened to their music every single day since then. I watch content. They truly are captivating.
You should listen to paradise, tomorrow, love myself, magic shop, 2!3, nevermind, epiphany, mikrokosmos, blue and grey, zero o'clock, bulletproof pt2, N.O, The truth untold, born singer, idol, etc.. pls watch The rise of bangtan docu-series ( it has 12 episodes...13 ep coming... soon)
my bts story is actually kind of hilarious. i lived with a bts fan for three years and while i would be supportive of my friend and her interests, i never developed that interest myself even after being surrounded by it for so long. it wasn't until the pandemic hit that i finally found myself listening to bts, at first because i missed my roommate so much, but eventually because i genuinely enjoyed them.
Hi Manny... where there is BTS, there's a crowd LOL... and we are from all over the world, multi cultures, ages, races & religions, background and professions and BTS brought us together. Welcome to the BTS world, Enjoy the journey.... am subscribing, Borahae 💜
When I heard “Stigma”, the lyrics really spoke to me. It was about family issues and so I started diving into more of their songs. They’re all so deep I love them
Sorry I'm late. You have a nice speaking voice, intelligent comments, and a good sense of humor. ARMY puts out a Welcome Mat outside the Rabbit hole for peeps like you. Ready,Set,Go ! Stay well. Suggesting you take your time, don't jump into the deep end of BTS pool without your floaties.yo Suga performed with a serious shoulder injury and got successful surgery in the last year. His group mates supported him and he returned and still receives psy therapy. Good luck with your recovery.
Too bad you didn’t react to the later version of this video because bigger things did happen and this was covered in the newer video. BE album hit #1 in bb 200...their single life goes on went #1 in bb hot 100, they got nominated for a Grammy, they had two online paid concerts that broke records for audiences, then they released two more English singles Butter and Permission to dance, both debuted at #1... butter was on top for 9 weeks...so right now they have 5 #1 singles! 2020-2021 have been huge years for BTS...I don’t think they are slowing down! Can’t wait for the next album and tour! I’ve been hearing about BTS from one of my best friends since last year but only truly checked out their music after their fix you cover and their carpool karaoke appearance. I got hooked when I downloaded their latest album ...And found I loved every song in it...so I downloaded their whole discography I loved all their songs! Then I started watching their reality shows and I was a goner!
I became a huge fan of BTS last year when they kept coming up on my newsfeed on here with carpool karaoke with James Corden. I watched it and instantly had fallen in love with them. That was March of 2020, and I have done nothing but watch ALL their mv’s, interviews, concerts, live stage performances(award shows), American hustle life, Run episodes and all bon voyage episodes as well. I have been on this journey and I will continue on this path. With that being said Jimin is my ultimate bias and that’s never changed since day one all tho I would say that when it comes to the rap line Suga is my favorite( rapper). Anyways love your reactions and I hope you stay on this path of reacting to BTS💜💜
Have you watch The rise of bangtan docu-series. Listen their b-side track from their album too. Paradise, tomorrow, love myself, 21st century girls, etc
@@ilikehatecommentsmorethann5825 I actually have not seen The rise of Bangtan docuseries. I’ll have to check it out. But I have heard their songs that you mentioned, especially Love Myself cuz it holds a special place for me since. It’s personally like my anthem and a strong reminder to do so.
For me, “Dynamite” introduced me to them but, “Blood Sweat and Tears” made me a fan and then What made me ARMY was the intro performance of their 2016 MAMA awards show. Holy sh!t watching Jungkook hanging in the air with the voiceover and the feather projections and then JIMIN AND J-HOPE’S DANCE WITH JIMIN BLINDFOLDED yoooo that was the first live performance I ever saw of theirs and I was hooked .. and it was just an intro! lol… down the rabbit hole I went 😂 as a dancer it was actually their dancing that attracted me to them firstly and then their high quality and artistic videos/performances, then their music… I’m so grateful for them. They really look after my mental health, I really needed them when I discovered them. They’ve been an amazingly positive influence on my life.
Glad you took the time to learn more! The back history and getting an idea that this is much bigger than you might think from a single hit song. My moment was Blood Sweat & Tears, I love philosophy and psychology and the layers of meaning embedded into the song and video blew me away. Rarely does anyone make music like that that hits all my points and yet not only did they do it, in a visually beautiful MV but the song is catchy, the dancing is stunning and yeah once I peeked into how much care they put into every single detail I knew this was the band for me. Who writes a while album about the Carl Jung Map of the Soul as a pop album? BTS that’s who.
Yeah their Love Yourself era.. I found myself stanning after going through their music both from the group and solos. it's not an exaggeration to say they kept me alive
The moment I decided yep I'm a BTS fan now, I'm an Army, was when I heard the song Magic Shop. I was at the tail end of what was one of the hardest years of my life so far and I remember feeling so touched by the sincerity of the song. I felt like BTS really care about their fans even if they don't know us individually, and they're serious about the message they put out. It really inspired me and made me curious to know more about them. I felt like I wanted to support them just as much as they support us.
I was introduced to BTS when my fellow Michael Jackson fans shared the Dynamite music video because of the homage BTS make to MJ, particularly through the choreography. I liked the video but what really drew me in was the first live performance they did (on the 2020 Video Music Awards). I found myself rewatching it so many times, always having a huge smile on my face by the end of the song. I then watched various other songs of theirs over the next couple of weeks. Then came the pivotal moment when I became Army. I watched their Tiny Desk home concert. They perform Dynamite, Save Me and Spring Day. The latter 2 songs are mostly in Korean (with BTS songs nearly all of them have a splattering of English words or phrases - enough to give you a hint into what the song is about). This Tiny Desk concert now has subtitles but when it was first released it didn’t. To my total surprise I didn’t care that I couldn’t understand everything. The way BTS performed, the energy they brought and the quality of their vocals had me hooked. Anyway, I’m enjoying your reactions. I hope you continue on your BTS journey.
Manny,I like your positive attitude!!! I have never followed any performer as much as I follow BTS. They are not only great singers but also great entertainers! Keep on smiling man! I am your new subscriber now.
It is tough for Suga. He had a rough past. His parents would throw his lyrics and "As for me...[my parents] were very much against [me becoming a rapper] to make me reconsider [my choice], they hit [me] and fought, and things like this...so I made music [under those circumstances" He left home at 17 to pursue music at Seoul where he does multiple part time jobs, (delivery job, work at convenience store, sound engineer, selling beats and songs on the street, teaching composing and midi lessons) all while supporting himself on college as his parents couldn't support him because they were poor. He was also very active on underground as rapper, producer and make beats for other rappers. He had experienced the most hardships out of all BTS members pre-debut.
There is an updated 2021 version of this video too..you can check it out if you want to know more of their achievements between 2020-2021. Btw...BTS just topped the billboard hot 100 chart today for the 10th week... 🤭💜💜💜
in 2017 i found their music i really loved it cause it was different and engaging but when i got into their personalities them as people and they made me a happy person in life that’s when i decided that i’m gonna love and respect these boys
i became a bts fan in 2017. i first saw jimin's serendipity which threw me into the bts universe immediately. what's funny is a good friend of mine is actually army since 2013, he even showed me some of bts' songs over the years but i never paid attention enough. soon, i was watching blood, sweat & tears, dna, mic drop... then, i got into the cypher series & i was hooked. their lyricism + their deliveries were mind blowing to me. now, im a big time army. i wish i coud've been there since the beginning but im happy i can be aware of the excellence of bts in my own life time. if you want to react to their rap tracks i'd suggest mic drop (the original not the edm remix which is good but i guess i prefer the og), outro: tear, 134340, paradise, the cyper series, outro: her, ma city, satoori rap, ugh, respect, all night etc. you can ask me for links if you want & ill give you a good one, sometimes they're hard to find in between the many videos army put out every day haha have a good one, peace.
Welcome to the BTS rabbit hole! All of It is pure gold! Def agree on getting to know the members better….but Dope and On (kinetic manifesto) are great music videos to start on! Enjoy the journey!
Hey Manny, so glad you flipped that rock over and crawled out to the BTS world. Welcome! I'm fairly new myself. A little over a year as ARMY, but hooked!
I was already into them, but the definite turning point was 2018’s Love Yourself: Tear album, especially the single Fake Love. This was a time when I was doing some soul searching and taking a close look for the first time at the harmful relationship I’ve had with my parents. When I read the translation for the Fake Love lyrics they exposed a deep wound that I had only just begun to explore. These guys saw me. I was in.
I heard bts music first time during pandemic, which was lets say the hardest time for everyone in the world and they just sparked this self love in me, which I was lacking a lot.Epiphany by jin is the song which I need to listen whenever I am lacking that self confidence,I am feeling lacking in certain areas of my life and the song provide that motivation to believe in myself.
After dynamite they actually released BE, an album that was entirely done by them, from the production, songs, concept, mv… in which they included Dynamite, life goes on which is the main track and some other songs. After that they dropped two more English songs, butter and permission to dance, breaking their own records one more time :)
BTS persona will always be very special to me because it is the era that I became ARMY! the first song I heard was boy with luv, when I heard that I was hooked! I wasn’t in the best place last year but thank god I had BTS! They got me through 2020, I don’t know where I would be without them and I am forever grateful that I discovered them because they are just the most amazing people! The most funny, kind, caring, loving, humble, creative and hardworking people. I will forever be Army and I always feel so happy when I see new people discover them! I love your reactions to them and I can’t wait to see you dig deeper! They make me feel every emotion! When they cry I cry, when they laugh I laugh and when they are happy and healthy that just makes me feel so happy! Thank you Manny! As us Army say, when you start your BTS journey there is no going back! You really won’t regret this! 💜
The first song i know about them its Make It Right, but i became an ARMY and falling into the rabbit hole after Life Goes On. They are the most amazing, tallented, humble, caring, passionate artist i've ever know.
Thanks for your sincere reaction. I am an old lady with some medical conditions. When I felt dark with sudden anxiety or kind of panic attack, their song, 'Not Today', saved me from falling and gave me the power to get back up on., and also their more recent song, 'On", has the some effect on me. Of course I'd love to listen to all their music. but especially their beautiful and soothing songs ( like, Jimin's Serendipity) are proven to be healing and therapeutic to me. Since the boys have humble beginning and suffered a lot themselves, they understand true humanity.
I love when you talked about pursuing your dreams and not giving in to what other people or the society is telling you to do. That is exactly what most of BTS songs are all about. Much in the early stage of their career, they strayed away from the typical "Kpop" songs and talked about having dreams, pursuing them, self love, etc. And also, they used their music as platform to criticize harsh reality of society. By the way, there is an updated version of this video up until their recent achievements..you might want to check it out too. ARMY loved watching BTS reaction from newbies. Well, we are more than willing to guide you in your journey to the BTS rabbit hole. And dont be too hard on yourself. You are never too late. BTS finds you..never too early, never too late. Hope you enjoy their music.
My granddaughters showed me Fake Love MV I was literally blown away but the song Love Myself has a very special meaning to my and granddaughters. I knew I was ARMY when I saw how inspirational their music is and how it motivate you to become the best person you can be.
I grew to love them based on their attitudes, how they were humble, caring for each other and their fans. You can see their humbleness when they didn’t win the Grammy. Also how they stayed true to themselves, they didn’t change who they were that people might have wanted them to be if they had been in a different company. Also hey they’re hot. And straight out talented. That’s how I fell for them. Also when I watched other people do reaction videos of them made me even love them more, just seeing other people react like you is awesome.
I became a fan last year after watching carpool karaoke. Now my entire family including my husband and 4 children listen. My 2 daughters and son consider themselves army. BTS helped us deal with the pandemic during the worst part of it last year. They are truly especial.
After this they released Life goes on which is a korean track and that topped billboard hot 100 again. And now there is butter. This is the 9th week and Butter stays at the top of billboard hot 100.
My BTS moment was: Hm.. I see so many people on youtube reacting to BTS. I wonder what they're all about." Listened to two songs. "Ok, I just need to know their names" And that's where I fell into the rabbit hole. This happened in October 2018.
*"Boy in Luv"* introduced me to BTS in February 2014. I've been ARMY since. 🤗💜 Their 2020 World tour would've been my 5th year in a row seeing them in concert, but Covid happened. I'm still hanging onto my precious 4 tickets until their tour dates get rescheduled.
And after that... Their recently released butter is literally shaking the billboard hot 100 chart..butter is #1 on billboard chart for 9 weeks now.. And also thier new single ptd is on the chart.... Please react to BUTTER and PTD also.... PTD is also written by Ed shareen btw
@@mannyreacts944 PTD debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 100, interrupting Butter's consecutive weeks at #1... the following week after PTD hit #1, Butter came back to #1 on the chart lol. so basically, BTS has been in the #1 spot on the Billboard Top 100 for 10 consecutive weeks w/ both singles... breaking records AGAIN! :]
Thank you so much! This video made me so happy! Thank you for taking the time to watch this video! Bts saved me in so many mental ways its unreal! So welcome to the Army!
I became a fan of BTS in 2020 and one thing I’ve learned is that there’s so much more to BTS then most people know, and your reaction to it was amazing! I recommend watching the updated version of it too now because it shows everything they’ve done and achieved until just a few weeks ago!

Oh yeah
Wow! That makes me so happy to hear, Ailee! : )
I love this!! RIP Mj! 💜
Their lyrics, their outlook on life, their chemistry and sense of humor(run bts is a show where you can see that clearly) and just the more i get to know them the more inspired and amazed i get, even their interviews are amazing
I agree! : )
Needless to say, the rest is history, im still down here in the BTS rabbithole and will be here for a long long time 😆👍
I love your story! I have to see more of their activist side! : )
Love myself, paradise, tomorrow bcuz of these songs I dive deeper into bts.
Their first song - literally - was called "No More Dream" and it was about not living your parent's dream... BTS is what is called a working band. It's hard to catch up with everything they've done in the last 8 years. If you stick around and you aren't here just for the views, you'll never be bored. 🙆♀️💜 usa
WOW! Great minds think alike haha! 💜
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I love your story and it beings me joy to know that they've had such a positive impact on you : )
BTS are the biggest artist of South Korea now and also for all time.
Thank you for sharing this info, Namjoon!
I realised Im ARMY and not just casual listener when i found myself really offended when I heard people talk bad of BTS. While i was drawn to them because of their music, it was their humility, hard work and them as a group and as people that inspire me the most and make me stay.
That makes complete sense! Who are these people btw? Do they hate kittens too?
RM has said that he wants korea to be reunified, but idk about the other members.
@@iduli02 all Koreans want Korea reunified…under democratic terms of course.
I read or saw somewhere that approximately 40% of all exports from South Korea is BTS merch. I find that astounding.
Hopefully the situation gets better!
I love your story! Thanks for sharing, Lucy! 💜
@@mannyreacts944 omg thanks for reading it i didn't expect you will reply my cmt 😭🙆♀️
I'm a big fan of BTS since 2014 and I'm 66 yrs d grandma. I love BTS because of their personality, music, kindness, humbleness and many more but od
Funny thing, though. The same boy who did this, did the 2021 updated version. Just if you want to watch the end and get updated with the news

Most people have really inspirational stories of how they became an Army but that's not the case for everyone. I just liked there music and the way they sounded, then I got to know their names and the meaning behind they're music. Although I didn't know them during the hard times in my life they still manage to give me a sense of comfort when I look back. I hope they'll be able to be there for in the future too💜
Well said, Belinda! 💜
You're doing great - welcome to the world of BTS. I'm an ARMY since 2015, here from New Zealand & luv seeing new ppl engage with BTS & everything they've done! Enjoy hearing your insights... thanks for sharing!
Thank you, Shelby!! : )
Oh yeah. They’re still breaking records and their own records. Our boys are insane! Passionate! We love them for it!!! They’re amazing!!!
Absolutely!
PTD is not really that great of a song.. Especially compared to Butter or Dynamite. In my opinion, Butter definetly deserves to be there!🙏
Wow! That's wild! Thanks for letting me know : )
@JeNa _1990 actually I love Ptd because of their lyrics, It's hopeful
I met them with their song "Boy with love". I'm 37 years old... and i don't know how to describe BTS in my life. People say "You met BTS in thé right moment. You met them when you need to". And... it's weird... but they help me in my daily life.
This gave me goosebumps: "You met them when you need to"
Came Running lol notification Gang here.
Haha! Me too!
Awe! Thank you Nana! 💜

I love that message: "love yourself." Also, thank you for sharing your story. YOU are an inspiration! Stay strong! : )
Yes... paradise n tomorrow. Bcuz of these songs I dive deeper into them.
@@mannyreacts944 thank you so much for reading 😊

what makes BTS different is that they literally make you feel like the 8th member. They interact so much with us that we just feel like more than an artist and its fandom but a family.
I love how you put that:
"they literally make you feel like the 8th member" : )
Number one among the many reasons why I supports BTS are their humble personalities, which humbled me and that really makes me so happy and also gives me hope for humanity. There are still people who are genuinely care knowing BTS stature in the music entertainment industry or as artists in general. I'm just so grateful to have exist with BTS era💜💜💜😌
I accidentaly found them back in 2016 and has been a fan since then! never in our wildest dream that they would take over the world, I remember in 2017 I was joking to my friend "let's get BTS a GRAMMY lmao" and in 2020 they were nominated....at first back then we wanted to dominate Korea completely but bc of the constant dedication and the ever-growing fanbase they just became too big to ignore and caught global attention
my first BTS concert in 2017(Indonesia) had a 13k capacity, and my last concert was in Wembley with 80k capacity
its wildddddd how much they grew and evolved! It truly felt like watching a movie.
I love this story!! YOU SAW THEM LIVE?!? SO LUCKYYYY! : )
Absolutely! : )
Yes it was 2018, mins you I found BTS in 2017 but I was going through a very dark moment and I put on Magic Shop and I realized at that moment that song, this group saved my life.
Thank you! : )
I was introduced by my roommate and went from interested to obsessed in less than a week.
After watching Deachwita I was done. That changed everything and made me a Suga bias for life.
Haha short and sweet! Love that story!
I love your story! Thanks for sharing Yesica! : )
the song that made me ARMY was Boy With Luv, but today my favorite songs are Tomorrow, Blue and Gray, Magic Shop, Mikrokosmos and Jamais Vu. And the solos are Singularity, Serendipity, First Love, Reflection, MAMA, Epiphany and Begin
Added!

Ahhh! I love that! Solidarity sis! 🇵🇷
I love that! Glad they've had such a positive impact on you! Stay strong : )
Yes, their B side is where the underrated masterpieces are!
I love this story! Thanks Bonnie!
You should watch Heartbeat..it's a beautiful song even though it was made for their BTS world game soundtrack but it tell a story about how they met...it's beautiful..

Hi Aastha! Your story is very inspirational. Sorry about your loss. I hope you are feeling better 💜
“Ah no no no not my guy”
JIMIN! Collect your man!!!!! Ahhdhfjdbxja

Thank you for sharing! Your story/resilience is inspiring! Glad you found peace and joy in their music. Keep healing, stay strong! 💜
I love your story! Thank you for sharing! Stay strong! 💜
Yay!!! My one moment was after dynamite was released and they were on the James Corden show doing a segment called “Carpool Karaoke”. That segment was the first I was ever introduced to them and I fell in love with their personalities. After that I watched dynamite and watched guides like these to learn more!
WOW! I gotta check that video out with James Corden! Thanks for the recs, Maria!
Watch The rise of bangtan docu-series.
Haha "I was like "eh". Glad you came back around to them! : )

Your positivity around BTS had me cheesing the whole reaction. 💜 Subscribed!

His group mates supported him and he returned and still receives psy therapy. Good luck with your recovery.
Thank you so much! You don't know how much that means to me! Physical therapy is a godsend! Stay strong! : )
I did. It comes out tomorrow.
I love this story! I gotta check out the carpool karaoke video! 💜

For me,
“Dynamite” introduced me to them but,
“Blood Sweat and Tears” made me a fan and then
What made me ARMY was the intro performance of their 2016 MAMA awards show. Holy sh!t watching Jungkook hanging in the air with the voiceover and the feather projections and then JIMIN AND J-HOPE’S DANCE WITH JIMIN BLINDFOLDED yoooo that was the first live performance I ever saw of theirs and I was hooked .. and it was just an intro! lol… down the rabbit hole I went 😂
as a dancer it was actually their dancing that attracted me to them firstly and then their high quality and artistic videos/performances, then their music…
I’m so grateful for them. They really look after my mental health, I really needed them when I discovered them. They’ve been an amazingly positive influence on my life.
That's so wonderful!! Thanks for the recs! : )
And now they are already on number 1 for 9 weeks in the Hot100 chart😃🥰💜
SERIOUSLY!?!
Thank you, Maria! : )
I love that last part!

I'm glad to hear that their music had such a positive impact on you, Holly : ) Stay strong!
Paradise n tomorrow it made me to learn more about them
I was introduced to BTS when my fellow Michael Jackson fans shared the Dynamite music video because of the homage BTS make to MJ, particularly through the choreography.
They would make MJ proud! Thanks for sharing, and for your support! : )
Pls watch The rise of bangtan docu-series
Manny,I like your positive attitude!!!
I have never followed any performer as much as I follow BTS. They are not only great singers but also great entertainers!

It is tough for Suga. He had a rough past. His parents would throw his lyrics and
"As for me...[my parents] were very much against [me becoming a rapper] to make me reconsider [my choice], they hit [me] and fought, and things like this...so I made music [under those circumstances"
He left home at 17 to pursue music at Seoul where he does multiple part time jobs, (delivery job, work at convenience store, sound engineer, selling beats and songs on the street, teaching composing and midi lessons) all while supporting himself on college as his parents couldn't support him because they were poor. He was also very active on underground as rapper, producer and make beats for other rappers.
He had experienced the most hardships out of all BTS members pre-debut.

in 2017 i found their music i really loved it cause it was different and engaging but when i got into their personalities them as people and they made me a happy person in life that’s when i decided that i’m gonna love and respect these boys
Lol..power rangers came out🤣..I guess that a suitable term to describe BTS..all of them have different skills and power in their own..
i became a bts fan in 2017. i first saw jimin's serendipity which threw me into the bts universe immediately. what's funny is a good friend of mine is actually army since 2013, he even showed me some of bts' songs over the years but i never paid attention enough. soon, i was watching blood, sweat & tears, dna, mic drop... then, i got into the cypher series & i was hooked. their lyricism + their deliveries were mind blowing to me. now, im a big time army. i wish i coud've been there since the beginning but im happy i can be aware of the excellence of bts in my own life time. if you want to react to their rap tracks i'd suggest mic drop (the original not the edm remix which is good but i guess i prefer the og), outro: tear, 134340, paradise, the cyper series, outro: her, ma city, satoori rap, ugh, respect, all night etc. you can ask me for links if you want & ill give you a good one, sometimes they're hard to find in between the many videos army put out every day haha have a good one, peace.

I was in.
I love your story. Stay strong : )

After dynamite they actually released BE, an album that was entirely done by them, from the production, songs, concept, mv… in which they included Dynamite, life goes on which is the main track and some other songs. After that they dropped two more English songs, butter and permission to dance, breaking their own records one more time :)

They are the most amazing, tallented, humble, caring, passionate artist i've ever know.
Well said : )
can't wait to see your reaction to this, i just started watching but i already know you gonna be shocked af
Haha I WAS indeed, shocked! : )
My pleasure! Thanks Heather! Your story is very inspirational! Stay strong, sister!
Glad my words resonated so deeply with you! Stay strong and believe in yourself!

Oh yeah, they are definitely likeable and seem approachable! Thank you! : )
I became a fan last year after watching carpool karaoke. Now my entire family including my husband and 4 children listen. My 2 daughters and son consider themselves army. BTS helped us deal with the pandemic during the worst part of it last year. They are truly especial.
That's great!
After this they released Life goes on which is a korean track and that topped billboard hot 100 again. And now there is butter. This is the 9th week and Butter stays at the top of billboard hot 100.
WOW!
My BTS moment was: Hm.. I see so many people on youtube reacting to BTS. I wonder what they're all about." Listened to two songs. "Ok, I just need to know their names"
And that's where I fell into the rabbit hole. This happened in October 2018.
Haha. I'm in the rabbit hole with you!!
@@mannyreacts944 Welcome to the dark side. I hope you enjoy it every bit as much as I have ;)
*"Boy in Luv"* introduced me to BTS in February 2014. I've been ARMY since. 🤗💜 Their 2020 World tour would've been my 5th year in a row seeing them in concert, but Covid happened. I'm still hanging onto my precious 4 tickets until their tour dates get rescheduled.
Wow! That's an amazing intro! I hope you get to see them live! 💜
And after that... Their recently released butter is literally shaking the billboard hot 100 chart..butter is #1 on billboard chart for 9 weeks now.. And also thier new single ptd is on the chart.... Please react to BUTTER and PTD also.... PTD is also written by Ed shareen btw
WOW! That's crazy!! Good for them! : )
Thanyou so much for your reaction

I became a fan of BTS in 2020 and one thing I’ve learned is that there’s so much more to BTS then most people know, and your reaction to it was amazing! I recommend watching the updated version of it too now because it shows everything they’ve done and achieved until just a few weeks ago!
Thank you, Avery! I'll check out the updated version!
