Question for the Sunni Discourse team. Per a previous video upload by the team, I recall that there isn't Sahih ahadeeth from the prophet (pbuh) regarding the Mahdi. Rather its athaar from the taabe'een that mention a person from the line of Hassan (RA) will appear at the end of times.
So the hadith stipulates that the Mahdi will come after a disagreement of rulership amongst the sons of a Caliph. So the khilafah will be established before Mahdi comes?

He starts by kiIIing the scholars of the Sunnis and then ordinary Sunnis.” (Baqir Al-Majlisi’s Haq Al-Yaqeen) When the Qa’im (Shia’s Mahdi) from the family of Mohammad (peace be upon him) rises, he will resurrect five hundred from Quraish and cut off their necks, then another five hundred, until he does this (action) six times." (Al-Mufeed Al-Tusi, Al-Irshad) “When our Qa’im (Shia’s Mahdi) rises, Al-Humaira (Aisha) will be returned (resurrected) so that he flogs her according to the law of hudud,” (Baqir Al-Majlisi, Bihar Al-Anwar, Vol. 52, p. 314-315) “Do you know what the Qa’im will start with ? What he will start with is that he will dig up/out the graves of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq and Umar bin Al-Khattab while they are still wet and fresh and burn/cremate them and throw them (their ashes) into the wind. And he will break/destroy the masjid al-haram.” (Al-Majlisi, Bihar Al-Anwar, Vol. 52, p. 386) Imam Mahdi will bring new Sharia (divine law) and commandments.” (Al-Majlisi, Bihar Al-Anwar, Vol. 10, p. 597) “Al-Qa’im (Shias Mahdi) will bring a new teaching, a new book and a new law.” (Al-Majlisi, Bihar al-Anwar, Vol. 52, p. 354 )

The narrator says that I asked: What is the meaning of the following words of the Almighty Allah? "And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. " (Surah Zuha 93:4) The Holy Imam (a.s.) said: The Almighty Allah says: I will give you so much from Paradise that you will be pleased." 44- Kam, Jamiul Fawaid: Shaykh Tusi has narrated through his chains from Fadhal bin Shazan from the Infallible (a.s.) directly from Buraidah Aslami that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.) said to Imam Ali (a.s.): "O Ali, the Almighty Allah has kept you in my company on seven occasions."
So what?They are discussing who they truly were which is free from rafidhi exaggeration.The role and characteristics of Muawiya is also discussed because of extreme hate against him coming from the rawafidh. Calling this as the success of rafidha is illogical.
