Richard! A million thank you. I came across your video by chance. As i needed to fix the same motor. And from there, you went above and beyond and replied to my comment on your video, shared your email, shared the diagrams, and the page on your manual, helped me thru a lot by answering emails. And not just that, you even helped me get the parts from a supplier who only supply to USA. You received the parts and shipped them to canada for me. Wow! I can’t thank you enough for everything you did. You are a true rare find and a good man with real and rare values nowadays. The world needs more people like you. Again, 1.000.000 thank you Richard for being such an angel. My motor is finally working and without you i could of never made this motor to work :)
K9 ….Thank you for watching. I’m very glad to help and hope my videos help as well. I don’t know why some of these parts suppliers don’t ship outside the US but they should if their customers are willing to pay the extra shipping costs. Anyway, let me know when your part’s arrive and have them installed. Good luck with your motor.
@justinash2429… the owner found the service manual on eBay. The manual was specifically for the model and did not identify a date of manufacture. You also might try www.marinerngine.com They sell Seloc manuals for all manufacturers but are somewhat generic.
Try www.boatinfo.no They have all service manuals for free. You just need a computer to access their information. A smart phone won’t work. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching and commenting.
@darrellryan2337… Sorry for not showing how to check the coil. The Customer already purchased a new coil so I thought I didn’t need to demonstrate it. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Why does my exact motor have two totally different coils than your one coil?
This motor was manufactured in Japan.
Maybe yours is manufactured in the US. That would make a difference.
Why did you not show how to check the coil?
@darrellryan2337… Sorry for not showing how to check the coil. The Customer already purchased a new coil so I thought I didn’t need to demonstrate it. Thanks for watching and commenting.
You brought the coil to the bench to bench test it, but then you didn’t show us how to do the bench test! You just cut to another step.
j29maniac… Sorry, I lost the footage. My camera died and I didn’t notice it until after checking and installing the new coil.
