It was sharp, one of the best online players. Marss is trying to do an ironman and therefore playing with characters he's not 100% familiar with. I would have blocked him too so I could stop running into him lol (then maybe unblocked him after)

That's true for midweight characters but really it's all dependent on where you hit the first hit, and the weight of your opponent. You can watch Art of Roy by IzawSmash for a more closer look. (I'm also a roy main)
