Excerpts from MANASA MANGALAM/ Anirudha and Usha / Vasundhara Academy for Performing Arts

Manasa Mangalam is the story of the Hindu folk goddess of snakes, mainly recognized in Bengal. She was the unrecognized daughter of Shiva. This dance drama which took place in the year 2019, depicts the various aspects of Manasa and her pursuit to be recognized and worshiped as a main goddess on earth.
Anirudha and Usha, 2 apsaras who were the court dancers of Indralok and devotees of Manasa Devi, deeply loved each other.
