Okay I'm impressed with the frame mechanism. They really did a great job there. The big downside is the design. Everything is protruding spikes everywhere it made me hard to 'focus' on the mecha. It's such a shame that I like the color combination and the overall silhouette, but this being overly-designed made me shy away to pick one.
I think if the wings can be folded down like a closed wing, it would definitely help with the overall silhoutte, I still really like the design, but yea I can see where you're coming from.
This, I'm sure the build experience will be amazing but its far from the perfection in era says it is. Still getting one but a lot of its design choices just feels like they added certain bits because they could. At a certain point when you add too much, it just loses its character and appeal. There's reasons why gundam's are so popular and one of them is keeping the designs unique and simple, being able to show purpose in mecha's is important. Not by stacking swords and weapons on each other

I'm tempted to buy one just to see how far 3rd party kits have gone from 0 to top-notch quality. I doubt Bandai will make something like this anytime soon for its target audience. Even if they did, it would be at least 1k+ usd. So far, from the promo video I saw they put a lot of effort into this to make it work.

Most third party kits are usually not to the taste of gunpla fans with busy/spiky designs, its a love or hate situation. Talking about target audience, Bandai has already made something for them and its the mgex/pgu. Both of which inspired others like in era to use the phase by phase build with the detailed inner frame. Goat pfp btw
I just want to ask why so many of you always compare it to bandai's Gundam? This is a mecha model kit, stop comparing it to others, it will only stress you guys out. Its like comparing your current girlfriend with your ex, which is the two of them are totally different. any mecha kit has their unique design. If its not your cup of tea just then go look for something you really like. Btw enjoy building mecha kits.
The irony is when third party companies do a great job, there's always people shitting on bandai (rightfully so). Same with this, I don't see why people can't do the opposite and criticize/compare companies for their designs. I mean comments exist for providing opinions, discussing on that or criticizing whatever the topic is. Its why the thunderbolt manta ray was postponed because of people's dislike over the backpack. You're 100% right about one thing and thats to enjoy building. Gunpla is freedom and there isn't anything wrong with someone liking this kit
I cant help but compare. It is similarly priced as Bandai's MG model kits. Two RG's. And cheaper than some of PBandai. And HALF the price of MGEX. And this is infinitely more impressive than MGEX Strike Freedom.
If they weren't visibly similar enough to Bandai designs, we wouldn't be drawn to them. A single example, among many: consider the head sculpts - faceplate, chin fob, v-fin... frankly it looks cool, and we've bought them for years based on our reaction to the anime's aesthetics. When a competitor mimics it, and does a good job with other buy-me-instead factors (price, articulation, gimmicks, metal endo, etc) our heads get turned. Yea, not ignoring your point - they're different, but how could we NOT compare them to the objects they (impressively) imitate? Basis for Comparisons exist, and it's human to use them for criteria in any individual consideration, including simply buying On-Brand, vs. Competitor. Additionally, I humbly suggest you note that all competition produces healthy results among those competing. Unopposed companies tend to get lazy, and their standards can suffer, without the galvanized pressure of another runner in the race.

先從結論說, 這個我不會買的。
以模型論, 看出很有誠意, 連動爆甲分色骨架都相當不錯, 玩法也多, 地台亦有心思。
問題是作品就是一隻縫合獸; 我直到今日也喜歡不了自由高達, 縱使大家也說他最強最帥, 我只覺得它集合一堆大家喜愛的東西, 這隻模型也一樣, 它不是醜, 只是紿我一大堆武器的合成高達, 沒有自己的風格。
說到心坎裡了，細節都很好，但沒有主要設計風格，很難發自內心去喜歡這個機體😂
想請問，有這麼高精度的技術，沒想過出個無敵鐵金剛或福音戰士的組裝嗎？把裂甲連動那些都用上，價格高一些應該還是賣爆吧？
