I've got lots of respect for Paul for introducing me to my favourite mix of all time - Radio 1 1994 Goa Mix, but this set was not interesting at all. It looked like Paul didn't even know which tracks he played and just went with the ones someone picked for him. Basically anyone could pick the tracks for this set just by googling "popular trance 2022" and "popular trance classics". This set doesn't contain the magic Perfecto atmosphere which he could easily create. The mixing could also be better - mostly it was just finishing the track and starting another one from the cheesy breakdown, like the Tomorrowland artists do. Paul is 59 y.o. He (or his ghostproducer i guess) could just continue producing that bigroom for big stars and Paul could just play classics sets, instead of the modern cheesy reworks and pop cheese. Like The Space Brothers - i respect them cause they decided not to play commercial trance but please us with the classics sets which contain the 90's atmosphere of their music. Oakenfold could play even better sets as he owns a freaking Perfecto Records, a label with numerous releases and amazing atmosphere. P. S. Around 58:25 i noticed a support of a russian artist Alexander Komarov who stole the "Tetris Theme" (aka Nikolay Nekrasov - Korobeiniki), remade it in a boring "copy+paste-lifting" version, released it on Perfecto and on his social media pages this guy showed no support for Ukraine but only made a song called "Katyusha" in a name of russian 9th of March "victory day"......way to go Paul! 👌
If I were a trance festival promoter I wouldn´t pay €60k+ for him. If you look at the videos it´s amazing how many over 40´s there are perhaps Luminosity has this in mind when booking DJ´s (demographics of the audience). Many, many argue Oakenfold, has long gone past his sell by date.
окенфолд крутой был в 1995-2004 далее после крим филдс хуже всё с мьюзиком, но 2004-2008 на санрайзах тиесто неплох был , но до окенфолда так и не дотянул, хотя я помню 4 санрайз латинская америка прям хороший был в 2005 только , в то время прогрессив хаус был качественный на ренессанс /бэленс серии, 005 холден вообще замутил мощную электронщину , которую можно и сейчас врубить через 20 лет . крутой окенфолд вместе с корешами по музыки тех годов был.

@@sharpy1785 Oakenfold might be a bit lower at anywhere from €25K-€50k, I may have over estimated. I’ve heard that one major name charges a standard €35K fee for arena shows whereas they charge about €10-15K for a typical club night.
It’s not just a case of show up and ‘jam-out’ people pay and show up to be entertained. High profile DJ’s need to make more of an effort. This will kill off the Trance following if things decline to this level. I didn’t want to say anything negative, but it seems like I’m not the only one who feels this way.

both djs are boring, the same track including on their sets... Gareth & Durand... Durand is great remixer - check his remixes 2019-2020 for Perfecto Records. I heard Emery on Dreamstate Europe, it was one of 2 best performances there....

They are paid 30k base. Then a profit share of tickets sold
The smaller the event the lower the fee. So luminosity will pay muuch less than other larger festivals
