  • To reduce pain in the lower back or knees, you need to warm them up well. I have already written that when I was in the hospital, the old professor said: “If you have a sore stitch after surgery or aching pain, wrap a woolen scarf around the sore spot to warm it up well.” Indeed, I have been using this method for many years, it helps 100 percent. That is why our ancestors lay on the stove, warmed themselves and did not get sick.
Well, we can help ourselves with the help of special warming belts, which can be easily sewn with our own hands from scrap materials.
It is best to take material from natural wool. Anyone who has a dog can collect wool and sew a belt from it. Dog hair has healing properties.
    - In the 80s, such belts were sold on every corner and sold like hot cakes. The Chinese quickly found out about the problem (at that time many were trading at the market and needed insulation). Nowadays you rarely see this, but you can sew something like this with your own hands.
    - The main rule regarding materials for belts is that the main fabric should be made of wool (from a sweater, scarf, scarf, drape, cloth). 10-15% synthetics are allowed. We cover the belt with cotton fabric. It's okay if it's fleece or other similar fabrics. And inside you can put a layer of padding polyester.
    - I have a belt made of a sweater. I cut off the bottom part 30 cm long. Then I cut this strip in the middle. The main thing is that the length is enough to wrap around your waist with a margin.
    - The second layer is made of brushed jersey.
    - I made curves along the edges. I connected both parts with the right sides facing inward and stitched, leaving room for turning.
    - The hole was sewn up by hand.
    - I laid a stitch along the entire length at a distance of 0.7 cm from the edge.
    - The belt will be connected using Velcro. I stitched one part straight, the other diagonally, so that the belt widened towards the hips.
I used this principle to sew knee pads for myself. Width 20 cm, length measured according to your feet.
They are attached with Velcro under the knee.
Forget about back and knee pain.
These belts will not only provide comfort and warmth, but also reduce pain.
