Let me just say I watched this and felt like finally someone decorates like I imagine in my design dreams! (I live in Alaska so trends and style sometimes takes awhile to start popping up here)
Secondly this is the first time I showed my husband home decor and not only did he get what the bigger picture was but we vibes on decorating our home. It seriously filled my heart with so much joy!! You nailed it! 💕

I couldn't think of a name for the decor style I want to decorate my new home and you legit hit it on the nail! Bohemian, modern, farm house rustic. Lots of neutrals but not stark white or all grey. Lovely home! The layout of it is very similar to another RUclipsr I watch. She also lives in Texas so that's probably why. Thanks for sharing! 💕

Gotta love your design ideas! And this is coming from a completely different style lover at the moment hahaha. I'm into a mix of modern farmhouse, industrial, Hygge, Wabi Sabi styles these days. You've done a great job! So many interesting touches! The entryway bench is amazing! The Indian chief picture♥️!! The coffee table in the living room...I adore! Not so sure about the dining chairs along with the beautiful table and bench though...but that's just me. I will copycat your idea of placing the sectional sofa apart!! So cool! TY! Love how it all looks so rustic bohemian chic, yet so high end 👏 I see the peaceful earthy vibe of Wabi Sabi in certain elements as well. Love it. Congrats on your work in progress !

Your flat wood carved bowls that you have on your dining room table, your cocktail table and by your fireplace are called
“dough bowls.”
they are still used in more rustic areas like New Mexico or even Mexico or other countries like that to make bread and tortillas.
We sell them where I work ....midwest... a lot of people put fruit and vegetables in them
yes you can put succulents, Cacti , Rock collection and shells in them stuff like that…
But they look really nice and sculptural as they are in your home.

Ya, nice digs, but too much outlay! Y'all must live next door to Oprah! My couch is similar. got it for $15 at a garage sale. One arm was a bit cat-shredded, but I tossed a throw over it. It's otherwise immaculate. The off-white throw...got for $5 on sale. The baskets...got very similar ones for under $5 a piece at second hand store. The basket chandeliers, easy to macrame...I made one for my dining room. Think it cost me $1.88 in white cotton clothesline. I made side tables from weathered pallets (free). Everyone asks where I got them...they love them. I even made a 'French door' for my dining room wall out of a $40 mirror and under $20 of lumber. The hardware store cut the boards for me, since I have very few tools. My dressers are garage sale finds...painted them white. My buffet's French blue..I get a lot of compliments on it. Got it for $60 and painted it myself. Crafts and DIY's are fun, easy and mostly work out nicely. Challenge yourselves, ppl!
@@staceykersting705 she's young but im just like you have awesome decor from fab stores and thrift stores too. You have to know how to shop and know your style. I will not over pay for anything. My favor find is my pottery barn rug i found at my local thrift store retail 600 dollars, i got it for 85 dollars.
@@shirelymitchell4793 How COOL! I was in Pier 1 a couple yrs ago. Fell in love with some bamboo chairs...$250 apiece!I swear, 2 weeks later got same at Goodwill...3 for $35! Wind up giving one to a friend. Cost me under $20 to recover the seats plus make some mix n'match lumbar pillows.I just recovered throw pillows for those.

i love like the wooden white aesthetic with cozy blankets and carpets
I know many are now built this way, however not sure on the eating room at the front of the house; love the entry mirror, love the sofa and deep seating for cozy days and reading; I use gold glitter mats on the wood organic and mirror plates to soften the decor too
I soooo get you with the ikea curtains :D ..... we just moved to an old art deco villa here in Germany that has now apartments in it..... huge windows, lot of light (i looooove it) but couldn’t find nice curtains that would be long enough (the standard size sold here is around 2,45m).... ended up getting 3m long simple off white curtains from ikea too. Not getting them tied simply coz i found they are looking nicer and more organic simply flowing.... great style btw, specially loved the entry.... and your pillows there.

Love it my only tip is to DD more green in ur house as an accent beach forest feel and checkout woven grass plant holders even laundry hampers work awesome for more texture..and a cool mirror huge one by ur table with pho greens in the center thingy with twinkle lights lololol ..

Love your vintage hunter. You have a good eye! They should take pride of place in your home because they are vintage like the piece on the formal dinning room. If it can fit on top of that white cabinet then put it there.
