This map is a lot better with a lot more AI thanks to the postscript tool. This map will crash if you have max units on screen so i made sure to have at least more than 170 AI per team. It seems to be that way for some reason.

I think this map works better in Battlefront 1, the Battlefront 2 has space combat and while it's nice, this game having no space combat means that the low flying LAAT gunships strafing the ground with their armaments makes this pretty cool
As well as the amount of units actually being on the ground turning it into a real cool slugging match between the AI
The Postscript tool which changes the Amount of AI in a battlefront 1’s LUA is very nice for this map
Umbara was one of the major Separatist planets. The locals fought pretty hard, and got stomped pretty solidly.
To be fair, they only turned separatist after their senator was killed during the episode "Senate murders"

That planet and system was basically a fortress.
Nothing compares to the republic gunship in Classic Battlefront! I loved picking up and dropping off squads across the map!
Given how in the campagne bf2 it shows a trooper inside i would wager that in bf 2 it was changed towards the end, probably because its ability to just hover in place in the sky made it overpowered for online play

So do vehicles and starfighters have actual interiors in first person in battlefront one?
The pilot class in the first Battlefront will actually slowly repair whichever ship or vehicle they are in, even Turrets. So pilot class make for the best tanker classes.
Mods have served this game beautifully throughout the years. The battle actually felt like it matched the scale of the Clone Wars really well: hundreds of blaster bolts flying in both directions, tons of explosions, gorgeous setting. Top-tier stuff.
it's so satisfying seeing the perspective where a local army is fighting the clones with unique models. i was a big fan of the Clone Wars books and this reminds me of the murky atmosphere of the Jedi Healer books. CIS was like fighting for their independence from the Republic, those AT-TEs are stomping on the local wildlife, killing locals, and wrecking the environment lol
When you realize the CIS where not villains and right all along, and in the end the sith we’re pulling strings on both ends.
Seeing 300+ AI fight in this is the coolest shit imaginable.
It could go to like at least 400 the minimum but anything higher than 170 per team causes it to crash on this map

This was 2004. Imagine what they could do if they wanted to now. It's all a money grab now make a ok game and micro transact the hell out of it how bout take the same 2004 game and just upgrade graphics and fix bugs it would be absolutely amazing
Why the hell can’t the big developers make THIS, a beautiful huge battle scenario with hundreds of soldiers on the battlefield? Not a huge map with 32 to 64 players and call it “massive”.

Dude!!! This is my type of battlefield. God do I miss the old Battlefront game on the PS2
I didnt think anyone played this anymore. I remember playing in mp lobbies when I was a kid and was genuinely sad when I found those same lobbies were empty 10 years later. So this video brought back so much nostalgia and reminded me of how good the og maps were. The day somebody is able to combine the og Battlefront 1 and 2 maps into the same game would be a dream come true. So many times I wish I could combine the 2 ogs together into one and have the best of both.
There is a pack with the Battlefront 2 maps. Sereja has made a couple of his own Battlefront 2 maps with his custom sides
This map works best with BF1 especially since there's a lack of Jedi heroes. Anakin left, Pong Krell just sits his ass down on the command center, it's perfect.

Epic. Total chaos, beautiful re-creation of the map, a real feel of desperation. I like how you at 11:00 decided to stake out the axis of attack, and with rotary cannon, just start mowing the enemies down.
This looks awesome. I’m getting a decent gaming laptop soon, so I’m excited to try this out on it.

So strange seeing phase 2 clone armor in Battlefront 1 but I'm loving it.

This game is almost 20 years old, and it is still better than the one that was thrown onto the market dice. Another strange thing is that Dice seems to be unaware that the clone wars took place on thousands of planets throughout the galaxy. @@randeli7785There were droids on Umbara, we just didn't get to see a conflict zone where they were. Just like was the NVA in South Vietnam during the Vietnam War but a piece of media could choose to focus on the VC instead or how there was Vichy France and Italians in Africa during WW2 but a game could choose to focus on the Germans instead.

Why does the ARF Trooper not have a helmet?
He does in game. Just not in the class selection screen. I assume this was some thing with the class selection screen where some parts of a model isn’t fully rendered in the class selection screen.

This map doesnt work, it always selects CIS and umbaran weapons dont have sounds lol
Are you playing this mod with the EGM mod installed? It overrites the SFX of the vanilla game and also cause custom sound effects to not work as attended

when I was a kid, one of my favorite cards was Gionosis. When you load into a ship as a desatnik and with a full crew you fly to the drop zone, or as a gunner, just +1000 to atmosphere and immersion.
It's a shame that in the new BF, we got this pathetic parody of vehicles. I don't know what kind of person you have to be to neuter the game like that.
