When Clinton won that "dream" was shattered, and they responded with Limbaugh, FoxNews, Hannity, Beck, Laura Ingraham, Mark Levin etc. And they spent the next 6 years, and in high gear after Clinton got re-elected, to bring Bush II in. What did we get... more Wars and bigger budget deficits and more social division. The erosion of the middle class.

Sadly, I just watched a video of a town hall meeting or something and Trump was there and this woman was there a pandering to him so bad and introducing her 16 year old daughter to Trump and talking about how when Trump was elected 8 years ago how she went and woke up her daughter to say Mr Trump won. Anyway it was disgusting but that is the kind of parent that would do that.

Very disappointingly, because of The Electoral College componet of Our voting system, "the majority of the people" do not matter....it has been shown that the Candidate with the majority of votes has still lost! It seems that either We The People accept that the "Majority" does not matter and continue to allow The Electoral College tally decide the Presidential Elections, or remove The Electoral College componet that focuses priority on a minority of States in the US States

What is needed is for serious Republicans like Liz Cheney to take back the Republican Party that Trump is presently holding captive and degrading by appealing to the worst inclinations of its members. America needs two rational parties to present different public options. Republicans need to go back to their former core values.
I’ve been saying this for years: nominal conservative parties invited extremists in and drove moderates out, and are now so irredeemable there’s no party for centre-right moderates to participate with in policy-making or to vote for. If it’s at all important to have conservative-minded representation in parliaments of the Western World, then new parties must be created. In the USA, maybe call it the New Republican Party or something like that.
Yes, it will mean forgoing a term or two, but there’s really no choice.

It would be hard, but if this happened to the Democratic Party, I would vote Republican, even if their candidate stood for policies that I oppose. I would vote for the candidate and then oppose the policies once they were in office.
