  • Before You Buy Gator Elite! Rack Unboxing! Assembly Tips To Avoid Fail! Watch Before You Buy! Unboxing, build and potentially failed quality control from Gator. Did I fail or did Gator? That said, I would buy this Gator Frameworks Elite 10u rack again as the overall quality is good. What is especially good is the quality of the veneer and the shelf slides!

Props to Gator on the quality of their woodgrain laminate and the soft close drawer slides. They are very high quality! I would buy this rack again even with the small QC issues! Great value for the money!

You got a Monday or Friday piece of furniture. Monday it was manufactured by someone who didn't want to be at work....Friday someone was in a hurry to get off work!.

Very beautiful design, I purchased this for a different purpose though.
I am going to have my gaming desktop inside it and maybe cutout a littelebit of the back bottom plate for airflow to the psu.
And I will have the Marshall mini fridge on the top.
I also got the Gator guitar amp stand in the large size.
Both have the same color as the rack in your video.

I'm looking for a stationary rack solution. This looks like a possibility! Also what amp am I hearing in the backing track? It Nails the brown sound!

I am very pleased with the Gator Rack overall. The amp is of course a Suhr SL68 with the switches like the MkII

@@ChrisJustice I sent John my SL67 last year for the new master and bright switches. I didn’t think I’d need the Fat or Mid boost. Now I’m second guessing….lol. At least the mid boost anyway.

The Mid Boost is pretty important in that sound in my opinion. The fat is helpful as well and was a mod on EVH's amp at one time. That song is from my Eddie video on here.

@@ChrisJustice I was under the impression the mid value change was only a factor when the volume was dime’d, and that the Fat is actually already ON in the stock circuit…. And the switch is how you turn it off.

The way the Mid is wired on my amp it is effective all of the time. It changes the value of the mid control on the amp. I would assume that it is the same on the MkII but am not sure how they are doing it on the redesign. John might be doing it differently. It is true the Mid switch is most noticeable at high volume (gain) settings but it is still effective at lower volume settings just not as impactful at all. The Fat cap is on the stock SL67 and SL68 so yes that is tru the switch gives you the ability to turn it off like an original Plexi. So if your's hasn't been removed then you are good. The Fat cap was off in the video I did.

I know it's too late now ^^ but they show how to screw the slide in this video and it worked nicely for me ruclips.net/video/6xEGDdhwxZw/видео.html
I didn't use this hole in the slide that you are showing 3:22, i started with the one on the other side and then when you pull the slide there is another one in the middle that was hidden which reveals itself, perfectly aligned with the pre-drilled hole.

Thanks for watching! Not sure if QC missed it or they let it go. I get that it is an inexpensive rack but it is an easy thing to make sure doesn't happen. The quality of the laminate and the drawer slides is really good I will say.
