Love this tribute video to Phife. The song is so dope as soon as I watched the video I went on iTunes to purchase the song. This is how you do a tribute video. Seeing Phife’s wife reminisce had me a little choked up but I needed that Redman verse to bring me back. This video is just flat out dope and what I’m all about. There is a neat story behind this one too… so the original is French Kiss Deux and is just Illa J and Phife… the song is Phife’s tribute to Montreal… but I’m not sure of what about Montreal prompted it… but anyhow when Redman heard the track, I guess he just went kinda nuts with how much he loved it, so he made some of his own versus for it and somehow ended up getting a new track (this one) made… Deux is really nice too!
