Arirang is a song. If you want Sohyang's name, it is Kim Sohyang. Sohyang being her first name and Kim being her last name. Last names are written first in Korea.
Sohyang is live and Whitney is recorded, so the comparison is not appropriate. The sound volume was also adjusted differently.
Both are great.
In the USA, many of the singers take it further than the recording because they can adlib. However, I've seen other videos where SoHyang was more powerful than this performance. I will be doing many of these. Some of those TV productions block or Copyright the videos. This video is also restricted in Russia etc. That's more politics.
Ahhh yes, on the upload I also heard the volume difference. I used the default volume and likely adjusted my system's volume rather than through the software...Yikes!
Should be live performce vf. live performace. This one is close unlike I Have Nothing where Sohyang takes it to a whole other level.
The only issue with that is on American Idol and The Voice USA, singers can add more to the song thus giving them an advantage as well. Here, SoHyang was singing from the heart. We've all seen her perform with power. Some covers are sung in rooms etc. I say enjoy both. Now, I want to do multiple cross-analysis. I see your point. In competition people bring their best. In casual singing, they sing for fun.
@@TheBlueRage I agree Sohyang was singing from the heart, she always does. At the end of the performance this was taking from she clearly was not happy the her performance. She has better of this same song.
One more thing. Sohyang's #1 listened to song on youtube is Arirang. Arirang is not part of her name. She simply goes by Sohyang but her full name of record is Kim Sohyang. In Korea the family name comes first.
Girl... wdym by sohyang ARIRANG??? You mean KIM sohyang?? Arirang is freakin song...
