I’m so excited for the future. I think it’s time to take it to the next level.
BMPCC 4K is such a good camera!! I learned on them too!
Pair it up with Sirui Nightwalker/s especially the 16mm T1.2 and a Laowa 7.5mm f2 down the line and Cinema!
Oh thank you so much for the advice!!
Bro! I’ve been wondering where my camera went, you took it!!!
You’re delusional!!
I knew it was a a Blackmagic from the first shot I still have my 4k I also got the 6k FF and I love it even more, I also recommand the Lumix S5iiX I got that too. all awesome cameras
Haha that’s awesome!
If you’re ever on projects requiring more than one camera, which ones do you pair together?
Just a random video I clicked on. Not expected to get hooked. Great video! I know the feeling.
I’m glad you liked it!!
You're gonna love it man! I've been toying with the idea of buying it again after having sold it last year. I knew that shit inside and out and now i miss it lmao. You're gonna enjoy it man!!
Thank you!! Any tips?
@@grandaveragefilms hmmm mainly don’t get too crazy with the rig! Just make sure it’s relatively balanced and ergonomic. Don’t focus on making it huge or professional or whatever- make it functional. It’s way too easy to overdo it from what I’ve seen on a lot of youtube rig builds.
Also really get to know the camera and its tools, they’re so stupidly helpful. You’re talented as hell tho- I see no reason you couldn’t figure it all out relatively quickly. Just keep it simple!!
February 5th my birthday this year has been rough turning 27 thank you godly for this video I needed to see this.
I’m sorry this year has been rough, i hope it turns around in the 2nd half!!! I’m glad this video helped you in any way
Look mom I made it in a grand average films video!!
Hopefully not your last
Dude, beautiful video! Quick question, what's the lav mic you used in the video? Also congrats on the new camera : )
Thank you! We used the rode lav mics!

Thank you! Love you guys!!
It is so cool the things you can do at this time of your life! I really like your channel, the algorithm really blessed me this time
Thank you for the support!!
Just sold my Ursa and am going back to the pocket style cams, for multiple reasons. I have honest mixed reviews of my Ursa and couldn't justify the price point in relativity. Excited to see what you can make with this new gear dude!
That’s super interesting to hear! What type of pocket cam did you decide to go back to?
@@grandaveragefilmstheir new 6k full frame. just fits my needs better with documentary work right now, only downsides from leaving the ursa is the internal NDs and the full size XLR inputs
@@grandaveragefilmsi will add tho, if my budget allowed I probably would’ve gone with the sony fx3 or the canon r5c/c70
Congrats man, what a milestone! Can't wait to see how you sue it in the future! 🔥
Thank you!!

whats the next video with this camera
As soon as possible
I saw this on my recommended page bc I'm always a fan of someone upgrading their cameras and it was a coincidence finding someone who also upgraded from their Canon M50 as I felt so limited by the HD video
I made a jump for a Lumix S5 (found a good deal on it) so I can use vintage lenses I had with a great image and IBIS
I liked how the shots turned out from your video and I wanted to recommend some videos of a screen/battery mod I saw:
ruclips.net/video/TZii1UoKrhk/видео.html
And a film emulation that I need to buy as well:
ruclips.net/video/GtTzXcSEgH8/видео.html
Congrats on your new camera!
Thank you for the support!!! And for the links! Super interesting to look at! I’m glad you enjoyed the video, hope you stick around! We have a lot of future video ideas including this camera!
If I may ask, what went into your decision to upgrade from the m50 as well as choose the lumix s5?
@@grandaveragefilms Well, I mostly wanted a better camera for photos and video that has:
- a bigger battery, headphone jack for monitoring, color grading (10 bit & flat color profile)
- and a supported lens mount bc I already knew that I didn't want to adapt to EF mount lenses making a setup bigger plus I was adapting my vintage lenses to a full frame but it felt like a wish.
I was going for Fuji X-S10, Sony ZV E10 but I saw a bunch of youtubers reviewing the S5 and I saw the prices around $770- 900. It felt reasonable to save up and hunt for a deal I got for ~$200 by trading it on MPB and having a damaged EVF which I can still use!
But why not the Sigma fp though? Cheaper and smaller.
Smaller wasn’t necessarily a necessity for me. And I was able to get a camera along with the rig for it for cheaper than the base model of the sigma fp one.
Plus I’ve spent a lot of time with the pocket line of cameras and really like them.
