I too understand his pain. I lost my pekapom to kidney failure almost two weeks ago. We had her cremated and she just came home three days ago. A day goes by without me wishing that there was something that I could've or should've done that would save here. I'll never again see that teddy bear face of hers with that one tooth that always stuck out. Never scream of excitement when I come home from going somewhere or her hair after she's been to the groomer. Every day since she's come home, I put her in her donut bed in the living room and every night, she goes on my chest drawers so her box doesn't get scratched up by my two one year old cats and I give her a kiss and tell her good night. I can relate to losing a dog. We had a Welsh Corgi - border collie named Babe. She was a beautiful dog, and even though she has been gone for over ten years. I still cry sometimes. Occasionally, I have dreams about her being alive, and I don’t like waking up from them. She was and still is close to my heart! I love you Babe!

It's still not easy to come home from going somewhere and no longer be greeted by her little teddy bear face followed by a cuddle on the couch. She even matched me and my mother step by step and had the most expressive face you have ever seen a dog have. 😢😭

Lost my Bichon January 4th, 2017 he was cremated, lost my Husband May 30th, 2017 and I was in the crematory room with him in his coffin gave him one last kiss goodbye and stood at attention saluting, because he passed from his service connected disability, until the door one the crematory was closed and the start bus button was pushed. My dog's and husband's ashes are in the same container and when he is interned at his final resting place my husband and my dog will be interned together.

We had to put my 4 legged best friend to sleep in 1989 and I still miss her to this day. I had her almost 16 years.
