    bless this man..... i always say this about getting older--its going to be tough, but how do u want it? i would rather feel the awesome weights above or beneath my frame, as i struggle to complete my difficult workouts, and feeling great afterwards, knowing i gave it my all and im achieving my goals, even at age 57, or 67,77,87 or 100...... id rather go that way instead of constantly relying on doctors, medications, and having to use a walker, and the motorized carts when i shop--how humiliating....... but when u have no discipline and no heart, i suppose thats the way to go.... not for me though.........

    @ HXCpr0n Yes, it is impressive to a man who is almost 81 who is still in this type of shape. Mr. Cantu actually can lift more than shown on this day in this video. He was coming off a sore shoulder and was going light. I hope to still be strong at the age of 80 !

    Pretty impressive. I'm only in my mid-sixties and I can't touch 250, lol. Lucky if I can push 200. AND, that will only continue to decline along with my T levels. This guy is a genetic freak! Keep on trucking!

      Research foods that boost you testosterone level and then eat those foods daily. Garlic is one for sure.

    • @davidthomson2794
      @davidthomson2794 5 лет назад

      Testosterone shouldn't decline as much as it does (new research on this). Its rising cortisol levels as we age (not all but many). Cortisol reduces test production and competes intracellularly. Read up on Ashwagandha and it cortisol modulating/test increasing effects. KSM66 is a good certified Ashwagandha.

      I hear you man. It inspires me too. I will be 47 years old this month and I sure hope to still be that strong when I am in my eighties. Age is just a number in your mind. How you live your life is up to you. As for me, I will keep giving it my best until it's time to go. Have a good day man.

      He has since passed on as we all will eventually do. He stayed active up to the very end. Definitely had a good quality of life for as long as possible and better than most his age at the later years of his life.

    I seen another video guy 80 who said 255 was world record bench who only went half way down you looked much better full bench & prob would gotton much more without all warm up reps.

    Are those 50 kilo plates otherwise it doesn't look like he's lifting 250lbs

    • @JAMESARONHUNTER
      @JAMESARONHUNTER  5 лет назад

      darren hill those are two 45 lbs. plates on each side with two 5 lbs plates and a 2 1/2 lbs plate on each side. The bar is 45 lbs. it’s 250 lbs legit. This gentleman actually did more than this in competition. Kilo plates can actually appear thinner than these. I’ve competed myself using both types of plates.

    • @JAMESARONHUNTER
      @JAMESARONHUNTER  6 лет назад +1

      bible bill yes, at the time of the video he was 81 years old. He would be 89 today. He trained at the gym I trained out of. His records are recorded and they verify your age by ID at powerlifting meets.
