Mariah overload y'all. I wanted to do an updated low note collection for her. I have been impressed with her recent shows in Asia and Australia, so I added a few notes at the end (from 2013 and recent footage from 2014. Anyway, enjoy!

@@darkcadence938 she said she was more of an ALTO which is not a voice type .. lol , and she only said that because of her lower register which is decent but nothing compared to a real contralto or even a mezzo . she’s a soprano. her voice is far too light & feminine for any contralto voice

Lichy Guevara every note below B2 was hit with a lowered larynx and that A2 was very husky but barley audible even with a microphone. Mariah is a soprano so I don't expect her to have amazing lows. She is consistently supports and resonates down to Eb3/D3 and has supported some nice C3s before but she has never supported any live 2nd octave notes live. They were all breathy, airy, and barely audible

When I was not into music, I didn't like when singers touched low register. But, when I started learning how to sing, I start really loving when the singers touch low notes. Why? Because this is very challenging and that what makes voice sound... so groovy...

She's not a contralto. She actually is a lyric coloratura soprano. She doesn't have an androgynous tone to be considered a true contralto. Contraltos are rare. Cher, Annie Lennox, Nina Simone, and Tracy Chapman are better examples of contraltos.

For example Whitney Houston is a contralto too(the first resonator 3000 Hz, the second 4000 Hz). Celine Dion and Lara Fabian are mezzos, but not sopranos (the first resonator 3200 Hz, the second 4000 Hz) .

samuel casares The lowest I’ve ever gone was an F#1, but that’s Subharmonics. Excluding Subharmonics, I can go to an E2.

samuel casares When I first started I thought I was a tenor, but eventually my range kept going Lower and lower and higher and higher. I’m assuming I’m a Baritone, because my tessitura is F#2(G2)-F#4. The reason I put both F#2 and a G2 is because when I test out my voice on my tubing app, my voice is alternating between the two notes.
