10 years later and this song has more meaning to me now than ever. Just learned I got put on academic suspension from my university. After two semesters of struggling mentally and spiritually I had a breakthrough today and now I truly realize the meaning of these lyrics. God took me back even though the sin I committed and all the ignoring I did of him yet he accepted me back at my lowest with open arms.
I hear ya on that. I DON'T know HOW many times I've single handedly managed to mess things up when they were going so good & yet he STILL continues loving me & still being there. I just wish I could be more there & dedicated to HIM than I have been for way to long. & Idk🤷🏻♀️HOW, WHEN or WHY but, somehow i ALWAYS end up "slipping away". & It's almost like a cycle w/me..when life is going GR8 4 me & I feel like I'm on top of my game & I'm happy, proud & sucessful...i unintentionally seem to self sabotage myself & end up in a sad, lonely, & miserable rut.
