Built OR Bought VANLIFE Festival - Willow Fields

- Festival season is already underway but with it's early start, comes some pretty wet weather and soggy ground to park on.
This is our 4th weekend on the trot dealing with muddy fields but that never dampens the spirit of a vanlife event.
Willow Fields Campsite plays host to 'Built Or Bought Vanlife Festival' which is obviously an all inclusive invitation, what ever you drive and what ever you camp in...From micro campers to motorhomes, 4x4's and huge Overlanders, to come along and simply have fun with friends.
There's wild camping in Castleton, The Peak District en-route and a party in Northampton with pub parking with friends to enjoy before Willow Fields.
Oh, and let's not forget, a BIG upgrade for the van in Barnsley!

Cheers Andy mate. I’m very tempted to change the ladder side on my van for that bike rack but again, it’s the holes & door damage I’ve now got from the previous installations to pay to fix as well, before starting again 😠

Go for it! I don’t have the best view out the rear whilst driving anyway & although it sits higher, it doesn’t hinder the bed view 🫶🙌

Looking at buying a van, sprinter or crafter likely, how have you found yours reliability wise? Servicing costs etc?
We LOVE our Sprinter, never had any big issues & servicing more reasonable than we 1st expected 🙌

I have the wheel carrier that you removed. For the price I have no regrets. I did fit some rubber to the carrier where it contacts the rear door so no rubbing of the paintwork and I have no creasing to the rear door.
Yeah, I’ve no doubt there’s better ways to actually fit it & the damage is compounded by my limited thinking at the time I mounted it. Trouble is, I could see it worsening for me & something had to be done 🫶🙌

Hello Andy n lil bleu , great funny video , a fun time had by all. Unfortunately the spare wheel weighs some also so I suppose it's awkward whether you put it, shame you can't store it underneath the van ! Them outlanders looked awesome, when you hear tractor, you know there's gonna be trouble for some 😁. Glad your fingers have healed up. Take care , safe travels.
Thanks Darren, yeah, the spare wheel is too big to fit under the van in the original cradle plus the space underneath now houses the LPG gas tank. I’m super happy with the new set up 🫶🙌
@@OurVanTales Spare wheel theft is an ever present problem where I live in South Africa. The wheel HAS to be inside. Mine bolts to the left side, just inside the back door.
