it had lots of buttons! it had a small window which lit with the programme number rather than the newer microtronic that had the bigger screen...i loved that machine..mainly because you could prewash with every programme without having to go back to reset..also, rinse hold could be added to all programmes too
yes...it was in polar white with a white plastic door and the pulse spin...before that, in 1986 i bought my best friend a microtronic with the chrome door in almond as a wedding present...i had gone into Tridents(they were a currys type chain) and bought her a zanussi machine..very basic with a dial and a half load button for£219.00..next day i went back and paid the difference and got the microtronic for, i think £349.00
Sounds like you had a model 9550 or 9551, ah the chrome door one was the 9550 or 95840 depending on which model :) The Zanussi must have been a Washcraft model, you had some wonderful machines there!
Love the Hotpoint roar!.. i had a microtronic 1000 le back in the 90's..i now have Miele too a 5964 8kg with steam about 5 years old now
Oh yes, it's a sound like no other machine!! Oh, so you had either a New Generation or a 18-series Mictronic!! Do you remember what it looked like?

Wow! I'd love to hear a video of that :)
I could do one of it one day its just the bearings are broken so you can here them more than the motor LOL :)

Oh no the bearings are perfectly fine, it's just got a rumble on it due to age and the motor too
right ok makes sense
