I always love your Dad stories and it makes me stop and think about the treasures we will leave behind for our children and grandchildren while we have the opportunity❤

They may not be the best coins in the collection but will be the most special.

I love seeing type coin collections. Most of what I collect is very targeted and structured, but I really enjoy seeing what people collect when not trying to complete a specific set. And I too had some heirloom type coins graded so I completely get wanting them protected.

Hey PCI, enjoyed coin box 4 vid vey much thanks. My favorite coins are the ones from your fathers desk drawer and how u talked about them and protected them! Could hear the sentiment in your voice. Reminds me of my Pop and how he would let me play with his vintage silver bars as a kid and not get mad. He used the opportunity to teach me about real money and tangible assets. He was very patient and understood I was just a kid. He is gone now. Yesterday would've been his 84 B-Day. He was my Grandfather but raised me as his son with my Nan who is still with me. I take care of her now. I protect and value his vintage silver bars more than anything else I collect/own. His bars are my best and only get taken out once and a while and not shown but greatly appreciated and respected. Sorry for the ramble but your vid was timed just right and I really appreciate what u have done with your Dad's coins!!! Thanks for sharing and reminding me of the good old days PCI👍

Great box 4, loved the trade dollar. I often have thought it would be a challenge to build that collection, especially those with the chop marks. Keep up the good hunt! All the best….Mrs Empire & Ron

Thank you! I think at one time I may have had at least one of every coin type except the Seated Liberty Dollar, anything prior to 1800, and any pre-1933 gold (other than the $2.50 gold Indian). My collecting has definitely been inconsistent.

I thinks it's great that you persevered your fathers coins, very nice. The sentimental value is all that matters there. I've got some of my fathers coins and my father in laws. I bought a tube of the emergency issue coins, lol! They can't be taken out of the sealed tube because they would just be regular ASE's.

To preserve coins from your Dad is well worth the money spent

Definitely agree. I'm sure they probably didn't mean much to him just sitting in the desk drawer but I have them now to remember.

What you did there for the Sentimental value is worth it when theres meaning behind it! Right on PCI👊🇺🇸 Nice set of goodies in Box 4

Really nice coins. Who do you prefer NGC or PCGS ? I don’t really know what to get graded or not! 🤦‍♀️ I like the buffalo nickel. The bicentennial is really nice 👍 Do you collect or do you sell ? Wow $100 .. 😮 I’m just learning all this stuff and I have a bunch of coins that I’m slowly going thru… absolutely great sharing. 👍👍👍 12:25

I kind of went overboard at one point collecting. Then sold off duplicates and those I felt weren't graded correctly. Not currently selling my graded coins now but prefer them in the PCGS holders when I do. They just sell easier (in my opinion). I do like NGC also though. Now I go more by that saying "buy the coin, not the holder". I did have some PCGS certified coins that weren't easy to sell because even buyers pointed out issues that they believed should have been on the label.
