Several brands have or are coming out with palettes with desaturated colors and I'm loving it! Simply posh snow angel, BB longing, ER groovy garden.... Lately I've been loving color, but more toned down color... I tend to go through phases and that's the phase I'm in right now. Love your eye look, which is definitely the opposite of "quiet"😂
Yes, I know what you mean. Lately I’ve been doing some soft looks too… still colorful perhaps, but not as vibrant or BAM! (This look being an exception, of course. 😆)
I think my favorite kind of palette is a quiet palette. Tartelette Juicy or stone cold fox from colourpop are kind of basic, but so easy to just throw on without thinking too much.
I think that’s one of the biggest benefits: it’s so easy to toss a look together; they are almost mindless but still pretty. So on a time crunch or “can’t think” kind of day, these are just what we want!
I have a few quiet palettes, but my fav way to do "quiet" looks is to take neutral mattes and pair them w multichrome toppers or neutral shimmers. My go-to combo is either CP She's A Natural (warm, matte quad) or CP Dare to Bare (cool, matte quad) for mattes, then Dieverune Dewdrops, or a CP Supershock (Runyon, Amaze, or Ice Dream) for shimmers. For palettes, my quiet ones are: CP That's Taupe CP C-3PO CP Peach Out CP Coast to Coral Essence Coral Me Maybe Essence Nothing Compares to Nude Gloss Gods Nude Pop ABH Primrose OE Spring Dragon CB Nudetrals Adept x Amy Loves Lethal Avatar Air Viseart Soleil la Plage Funny story about Sashimi City. I considered getting it many times since it suits my undertone well and I love the compactness. But 2 things stopped me from getting it: 1) The two darkest mattes are too similar and 2) I can't stand a brown shade being named Soy Sauce apparently. 😅 I like soy sauce and it's a core flavor in my culture, but my association w the word is so strong that when I see the brown shade w the words in pictures and reviews, I can almost taste it in my mouth. But I don't want my eyeshadow making me feel like I'm tasting soy sauce. 😂
Hahahaha! I totally get the soy sauce struggle… that is a really strong flavor, hard to disassociate. 🥟 You have many beautiful “quiet” palette! Thank you for your time!
I would love some recommendations of more pallets like the Muse palette you featured. I want something like a fairy garden, desaturated grungy colors. The Muse palette is beautiful, but do you have any other recommendations?? May God bless 💙💙
Hi Tara! ColourPop has one called Lust for Dusk, although I don’t know if it’s still available on their site. I do see it secondhand. You could also keep an eye out for the Oden’s Eye Jewels and Gem, which I call “an evening garden”. Blend Bunny’s Longing is desaturated, and their Machina is a little brighter but has really unique, more grungy undertones. Hope that helps!
I love the Limoncello palette as well! It's so easy to work with!
It is! I wish it had a smidge more variety, but it is a staple for so many people.
I love this video idea!! You have amazing ideas!
thank you! I have a Notes file in my phone filled with ideas. So many plans, not enough time 😆 I’m glad you enjoyed the look and video!

Some people find that adding a few drops of glycerine to powder eyeshadows can revitalize them.
Oh interesting. I wonder if they drop it right into the pan…? Thanks Jennifer!
