Description
حضرت سہل بن سعد ساعدی رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ایک خاتون رسول اللہ ﷺ کی خدمت میں ایک چادر لے کر حاضر ہوئیں اور عرض کیا : اے اللہ کے رسول ! میں نے یہ چادر اپنے ہاتھ سے بنی ہے تاکہ آپ کو پہناوں ۔ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے وہ چادر لے لی کیونکہ آپ کو اس کی ضرورت تھی ۔ آپ گھر سے تشریف لائے تو وہ چادر تہبند کے طور پر پہن رکھی تھی ۔ فلاں آدمی آیا ۔ حضرت سہل رضی اللہ عنہ نے اس دن اس شخص کا نام بھی لیا تھا ( بعد میں راوی کو یاد نہیں رہا ۔ ) اس آدمی نے کہا اے اللہ کے رسول ! یہ چادر کتنی اچھی ہے ! مجھے عنایت فرما دیجیے ۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا :’’ اچھا ۔‘‘ جب آپ گھر تشریف لے گئے تو وہ چادر تہہ کر کے اس صحابی کے ہاں بھیج دی ۔ لوگوں نے اسے کہا : اللہ کی قسم ! تو نے اچھا نہیں کیا ۔ یہ چادر نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں پیش کی گئی تھی ۔ اور آپ کو اس کی ضرورت بھی تھی وہ تو نے آپ سے مانگ لی ، حالانکہ تجھے معلوم تھا کہ آپ ﷺ کسی کا سوال رد نہیں کرتے ۔ اس نے کہا قسم ہے اللہ کی ! میں نے آپ سے یہ چادر پہننے کے لیے نہیں مانگی بلکہ اس لیے مانگی ہے کہ وہ میرا کفن بنے ۔
حضرت سہل رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں : جس دن وہ صاحب فوت ہوئے ، وہ چادر ( بھی ) ان کا کفن تھی ۔
It is narrated from Hazrat Sahl bin Saad Saadi, may Allah be pleased with him, that a woman came to the service of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, with a cloak and said: O Messenger of Allah! I have made this cloak with my own hands to wear you. Rasulullah ﷺ took that cloak because you needed it. When you came from home, she was wearing a chador as an apron. Such a man came. Hazrat Sahl, may Allah be pleased with him, had also taken the name of this person that day (later the narrator did not remember). This man said, O Messenger of Allah! How good is this cloak! Bless me. He said: "Good." When he went home, he folded the sheet and sent it to this companion. People said to him: By Allah! You did not do well. This cloak was presented to the Prophet ﷺ.
And you needed it, so you asked for it, even though you knew that you, peace be upon him, do not reject anyone's question. He said by Allah! I have not asked you to wear this chador but to make it my shroud. Hazrat Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: On the day that Sahib died, that cloak was (also) his shroud.
