This is why I love finding older method books, lately for about 50c each at the thrift stores. It's the same piano content for a fraction of the price, but I get to own a piece of history, rather than feeling a victim of history being erased everywhere you look. They don't want to publish errata, because then it would demonstrate the changes made over time, and they really prefer to pretend it was always like this. In fact, if they recall the books, I think it's worse, because then you wouldn't find them at thrift stores so much anymore...
Dear teacher, let me tell you that have the best piano tutorials and your teachings have helped me a lot, please if you could continue the Burgmuller series 🙏that would be a huge help for self learners like me who live outside the US, many thanks to you
Glad to know my contents are helping. I'm trying to grow this channel so that I can dedicate more time and produce more videos. But unfortunately, it's taking a very long time... Someday, I will get to more Burgmuller videos, but meanwhile, please share any of my videos you think are helpful to others so that they reach more viewers!
They still didn't use Happy Birthday, just to avoid any potential issue. Yet decided to go out of their way to add people just to be inclusive... I still don't know if that was worth it.
Hello, love your videos and content.. And your humor 😉. I was wondering if you had any tips and guidance for some more basic and fundamental technique and physiology of the piano. There's wrist rotation and relaxing and forearm rotation and I would like to hear your thoughts or a video on these various techniques, how to practice them and when to actually apply them. It seems like some of the techniques are applicable in certain niche situations but should not be used elsewhere. Octaves are an obvious example, but I'm not sure how forearm rotation should be applied. In other examples, for instance. Same thing with using the wrist and having movement come from there. I'm very interested in all of these because I have autoimmune diseases that are constantly on the horizon, so I'm trying to keep my technique as relaxed and healthy as i can to minimize injury and max the years i have with piano. And your content so frequently clicks with me and the way you describe it. You clearly know what you are talking about. If you could give some guidance tips or consider it for another video (paid or otherwise) i would appreciate that
These are all good topics and questions, but too complicated to answer here. It's also a topic where if you misunderstand, you can really injure yourself. So I would rather address it in-person or online session where I can interact and make sure you get the right idea. If you are interested, you can make an appointment here: www.pianowithakira.com
This video may disappear one day, just like those words and pictures that suddenly vanished from the books... Everybody should like and share this video before it does!
In science, publishers put errata - a list of corrections, on their websites, and a reader can look them up if something doesn't make sense. I don't see why music publishers can't do the same. Useful nerd behaviour ...
American Indians have been called Native Americans since the term was introduced some 60 years ago. But, there are groups who actually prefer to be called American Indians or Indigenous Americans. Indian would mean Asian Indian. The Famous People lyrics was changed, I think, more because of Cinderella and Jack Frost rather than Christopher Columbus. My students often commented that Cinderella is a character from a story and Jack Frost is a personification!
Oh, I didn't think about those :) Well, I'm sure there will be some people who finds some of the new animals offensive or wrong, then they'll have to change it to "My Favorite Vegetables" or something.

I don't know why I enjoy to watch your video, even I am a beginner violin student. 😅
All musicians are friends, no matter what you play!
Happy Birthday is no longer in copyright. The picture in that song was changed to make it more inclusive.

Lol... Thank you for your perspective!! No.. changes were not necessary!!
Hannon and Burgmuller can be downloaded for free ....
I hope this video doesn't get canceled! I'm sorry to see Native American culture being erased. The Pentatonic scale is next!

@@AkiraIkegamiChanneljust like the comments here from people you don’t agree with.
Some people are offended by every little thing. There isn't anything wrong with Indian Song. The publishers are just as ridiculous as much of society.
In science, publishers put errata - a list of corrections, on their websites, and a reader can look them up if something doesn't make sense. I don't see why music publishers can't do the same. Useful nerd behaviour ...
I would love to see errata from the publishers explaining why Indian Song or Christopher Columbus was wrong without offending anybody :)

The reason is just three letters. ESG.
