Uh who's gonna tell him that truggys have center diffs lmao. Nice vid man glad to see hpi getting back on track, and my day is always better when you upload
LOl hey man! Yes, Unfortunately this does have a center diff (I talked about it in the prior video, it's something I have accepted in return for the great price, big size, and HPI LOGO). LOL. I'll see if HPI knows how to properly make a center diff, if not I'll either lock it up or tune it to be much higher. Nitrogang! Have a good day my dude!!
Haha Hpi Hellfire. Remember that. This kinda reminds me of that. And then Hpi came out with the Hellfire SS Kit, That was a high quality piece. I wanted it so bad, but I was too young, no money haha. I’m glad you bought that, a nice change, something you don’t really see too much
Oh hell yes man! Ofcourse I remember the HELLFIRE, it was all too much money for me at the time they were sold. This thing is basically the same thing but with a different body style and much better engine. For the price right now it's a STEAL. I highly recommend you get it if you're in the market for a truggy like this.
Hey bro of course you know I definitely remember to hellfire, I was just doing some research to compare them both. As it turns out the hellfire is exactly 2 inches shorter than this particular truggy, that means this thing is going to be awesome on the track.
Yes I’m glad to see hpi is back in business and you’re buying one I’m still thinking of which one to choose two speed baby let’s go racing 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Do you have an HPI Nitro Firestorm? Just wondering. My latest Nitro RS4 3 build is 99% complete. Compared to My Nitro RS4 2 the 3 seems like the engine and drivetrain are a lot easier and quicker to access and work on. Even the electronics being on one side makes tucking wires a lot easier (running a graphite upper deck, not the stock plastic box)
hey bro! BTW my first ever nitro RC was the hpi RTR-3, and as you already see it's got a very user friendly modular design. And yes, its very easy to work on due to the simple chassis layout! Anyway I don't own a firestorm, but I do have two different nitro MT2s, which are basically the same just 4WD. The RS4 is a complicated chassis with lots of belt and drivetrain supports, including old style battery and electronics mounting.
What’s up bro thanks so much, and welcome to the channel. Here will always run rich and loud and be proud to run nitros. Make sure to put your notifications on because A new nitro greatness video is about to drop in 10 minutes 👍🏻👍🏻
Ops I commented a savage 4.6 when it's a truggy 😅 But great video and I'm catching up on your channel and wow you are a nitro god my man! Wow Keep up the awesome work!! 🤘🤘 Nitro gang out! NWO!
The mad crusher and new USA 1 are the best true monster trucks. I have the mad crusher and while its not fast or a huge jumper. It’s the best ground pounder I’ve ever had!
hey bro! whats up! I guess if you're considering true monster trucks to be the scale of a real MONSTER JAM truck with the similar suspension setup, then yes, you're right. the 4-link setups are highly realistic, but not ideal for anything other than looks, you know. BTW the XTM X-Factor was also built like that. NItrogang!>
hey man! There is tons of controversy on this subject so I will just give you my typical desired heat range for that engine. At best you want to not go over 230-240 during break in (might be tough because new motors tend to run hotter until broken in properly). During normal running try for not more than 230 degrees (this is extremely on the safe side BTW). Traxxas says to not exceed around 260 usually. Overheating is anything 280 and up I'd say.
hey my dude! Thanks for the suggestion, that seems to be the most ideal and simple method from what I've read so far. I'll have to first test it out in STOCK settings then determine if I will actually need to tighten it up.
I can't believe the price for that truggy woowee! Can't go wrong. I have no idea how that is basically the same price offered 20yrs ago, maybe even a bit cheeper. I think I paid 500cad / 400usd my savage in 2003 at a grand opening sale. Otherwise it was 625cad / 500 usd. Really interesting, it will be awesome. I always wanted a hellfire ss, but was way out of my price range at the time. Maybe I'll get this. I want to see a strong hpi return. Also would like to see some nitro on road offerings from them. I remember the rs4 evo being a real hit. I have a hot bodies r10, it's a heck of a machine but all discontinued.
What’s up bro guess what, you won’t believe this, this thing literally came about three days after I made the purchase. And I’m sitting here typing this comment and looking at the box at the same time. 👍🏻
I have the flux version and it is not that bad I really like how it handles and is also has a good amount of strength for bashing and jumping. Any way I might be getting the buggy version since I might be racing and it has some nice upgrades you could add to it. Ps it would be my first nitro and I am pretty excited!!!!
Hey bro! Yes man I also like the FLUX model, the chassis is terrific, but it's slow based on my current stock setup. Eitherway, the driving characteristics r terrific, you're 100% right. And bro, right now is the time to get this nitro, before prices go up or they are sold out, I'd jump on it. Its on amazon not too.
You're still wrong @4:24 because it's the links AND axles that have been upgraded aside from the other new things about the truck. Yes, Tmaxx might be faster out the box but the Kyosho is a much better truck and durable all around with true 1/8th scale parts like the diffs, clutch, clutch bell, engine, carb, no weak plastic trans, etc. When I had my Revo 3.3 and Tmaxx 3.3, everything was fine as long as I was just field bashing (driving back and forth) but the moment I tried using those like I use my Savage, it was day over rather quickly. What good are spare parts if I'm replacing broken parts with the same weak parts. In fairness, the Krusier platform has suffered from weak plastics all the way up to the Mad Crusher where is was improved so I couldn't bash balls out either due to that. It could take more abuse though in stock form and I never blew out diff gears once a full set of spider gears were installed. In any event, that Trophy Truggy, while outdated, will be VERY fun and should be relatively durable according to my previous experience.
Oh ye, for sure the Trophy Truggy is an old design, no denying that. But it's cheap, in stock, has a reliable Savage nitro motor and is a pretty large chassis in size overall. Those were my main factors for the purchase. At this point the KYOSHO was not an option because it's not even in stock anywhere, and it's pricey compared to this HPI right now, you know. BTW yes I realize I left out the updated driveshafts part, I actually did say it but then edited it out because the video was getting too long. But yes, Kyosho did say that in the product listing, I just did not read all of it for this video. Nitrogang! Great comment bro, truly well detailed and accurate, I appreciate it.
hey my dude!! Ye man this would be ideal for that track, I'm siting right by the box as I'm tying this comment right now, hahah. Unfortunately the electric version is super slow, thats why I've never taken it out.
I have the Hpi trophy 4.6 truggy, the pull start broke straight away, the one way bearing gave up not long after using it, the chassis bent after a run away on flat ground after colliding with a wire fence, it's always been a shit car to start but yes it looks great oh and also the wheels discoloured after using due to fuel contamination
I have the trophy truggy, it ran good for 2 days and now I can’t get it to run at all. I’ve had nitros for years so I’m not a beginner but I cannot figure out what’s wrong with it. I’ve been sticking with Traxxas my slayer pro has treated me nice
hey dude! Yup, the savage is currently looking good while it's brand new, I just got this truggy in the mail yesterday, super excited!! Nitrogang 4 life!!!
Well I'm in the middle of trying to order one of the trophy truggy 4.6 HPI like you got but I got on their site today and just in the past five days they've raised the price to it almost $200 it was $449 I do believe and now it's $609 I was going to go with the website you purchase them from because I trust your judgment but now I'm going to be finding another place to buy it from I have found three other places online that still want $449 for them I don't understand why the price you jumped up a hundred and seventy-five bucks
hey brother! Yes bro you should order them from amazon right now, I put a link to it in the video description. It's 459 right now. I'm quite sure when the old priced HPI stock is sold out the new suppliers will be forced to adjust to the new higher prices. It's just a matter of time right now. I'm doing a video on this, it should be out soon. Nitrogang!!

Are you trying to get a car, buggy, truggy, monster truck, stadium truck? I have 2 old HPI cars, Nitro RS4 2 and Nitro RS4 3. You can find PLENTY of parts online for the Nitro RS4 3/Evo/Evo+ and many are selling their used car for $150-$250 on ebay or facebook marketplace. I know hybrid uses another app to source stuff, just don't remember what it's called. The Nitro 3 is definitely an easy car to work on. The 3 is pretty much discontinued at this point, some parts are still being made, but again plenty of parts are online. The HPI Savage, HPI Bullet MT 3.0 and ST 3.0, HPI Trophy Buggy, and HPI Trophy Truggy are still being produced. They use bigger motors and are made to be taken off road and abused. Expect more wrenching for off-road vehicles just because you'll be more rough with them. I have the Savage when it first came out and it is currently using parts from their latest models. Very durable truck in my experience, but I've never fully tested its jumping capabilities since I have no ramps, hills, or areas for it to jump.
@@InTheZone85 hey bro! Terrific response! Highly detailed and you sure know your Vintage HPI nitro stuff right here. Lately I have not purchased any used RCs at all, right now the prices for the new HPI Bullet and this truggy are the ones to buy. Vintage nitros for beginners are always a situation, you know.
hey bro! Really depends on which style of car you want. I highly recommend you stick to TRAXXAS considering parts availability is huge and the T-maxx 3.3 or Slayer PRO are both terrific! But once again, comes down to your preference. But you really can't go wrong with the t-maxx 3.3. Did you see my vids on it??
T-Maxx 3.3 for sure! because of the Massive parts availability and the Wide Range of Aftermarket parts. You don't wanna be Stuck with something you can't find parts for anymore.
hey bro! yes, I rem the Hellfire. I just looked up the specs on the hellfire VS this truggy and they are nearly the same other than the fact that the trophy truggy is about 2 inches longer and has smaller wheels. I do wish it came with the older hellfire wheels tho.
hey bro! Yes, so far many comments are recommending silicone ear plugs, some said hot glue. I will first test the truggy out as is, without any tuning, then we will attempt to see what it needs. I will try to use the proper diff fluid to begin with, then go from there.
hey bro! Yes, I just saw a couple days ago the HUGE price hike HPI just had on the HRP website. I'm quite sure it will be a few weeks before the new high prices filter down to the other merchants. I'm doing a video on this topic btw, and I have great info about why they are claiming to have price hikes. It's a damn shame, they are basically pricing us all out of their NITROS.
Yeah ever since you got that new HPI trophy truggy 4.6 I've been in love with it and been keeping an eye on the price it's been staying at around $450 and then all of a sudden bam $609 LOL and I would be interested in that video when you make it but yeah I was really excited to get that I was either going to get it this week or around the 15th and enjoy me a quality built Nitro I just acquired a Duratrax evader ex Nitro it was in really good condition it was in a garage fire it did not get any damage besides Soot and smoke damage so it just needed cleaned doesn't have many hours on it I found out that the oddly made older 18 Force nitro engine that has the weird carburetor mounting bolts sitting in the center of the fuel Venturi instead of a bolt that goes clear through the back I'm in the middle of getting new bolts for it and getting it ready if I could get the HPI trophy truggy like I want it for $450 that would actually be one of best quality nitro cars I have ever owned is why I was so excited
Sorry lot of information and details and that last comment but yes I'm very bummed out that they raise the price right now I'm just going to have to enjoy the Duratrax evader ex
YE bro! I highly recommend you get this one too, the price is good and it's available for now. The flux is ok, but mine is super slow, that's why I never run it anymore.
LOL, I'm sure the Nitro smoke does have an effect on the mosquito situation! Lets see, maybe the mosquitoes love the sound and smell of burning NITRO!! who knows, lol. Nitrogang!.
Hey bro! Let me rephrase what I meant by "LOSI IS DONE". For this purchase LOSI is not an option because it's sold-out everywhere, there is a price hike they just had and they have center diffs. Basically it's DONE for in terms of being an option for me. But lets hope they come back and are not discontinued.
unfortunately the USA-1 isn't an option at this point, IT's not even available for purchase, it's expensive, and it's a KYOSHO, meaning you won't ever be able to get parts for them, lol. BTW I have a Kyosho FOXX 2.0 (same as the USA-1 chassis). and I can't even source a basic clutch bell for it, you see what I'm saying.
Bro out of the blue, I have a team Max classic 2.5 I have tuned it and it still won't shift to second gear and I have adjusted it too and still nothing I have a spur gear coming with a clutch and I noticed that the little spring that I have on it now is little it's not spring it's like shrunk and if you know what I mean what do you think would be the issue I mean I know the spur gear could be on the line but what is your opinion thank you

@@kgm5512 LOL bro! I actually have 2 more bullet videos in the making right now. But don't worry, I highly doubt anybody will listen to me anyway, so far only 2-3 people have said they purchased the HPI truggy. People seem to think only the LOSI buggies are worth buying, which is pure HYPE...
haha, well yes, I hate spending on money on things with no value. But considering I got terrific deals with no tax, coupon savings, and free shipping I could not pass up those deals. In reality the amount I paid these things will almost always be worth at least 80% of it's purchase price. In my opinion it's not a waste because HPI will always be desirable, you know. Plus my Prius is getting 58 MPG right now, I can afford it 😂

Look at a nitro rustler, super affordable and you can hook them up for cheap
T-Maxx 3.3 for sure! because of the Massive parts availability and the Wide Range of Aftermarket parts. You don't wanna be Stuck with something you can't find parts for anymore.
Hpi hell fire 🔥 is one of the best from hpi
hey bro! yes, I rem the Hellfire. I just looked up the specs on the hellfire VS this truggy and they are nearly the same other than the fact that the trophy truggy is about 2 inches longer and has smaller wheels. I do wish it came with the older hellfire wheels tho.
I have heard people putting in the rubber ear plugs in center diff. Kevin T. Used tem on Xmaxx.
hey bro! Yes, so far many comments are recommending silicone ear plugs, some said hot glue. I will first test the truggy out as is, without any tuning, then we will attempt to see what it needs. I will try to use the proper diff fluid to begin with, then go from there.
More nitros!!!!
that's right bro! You know how it is!. The more nitros the better.
We still haven’t heard anything about the savage 4.6
👍 Get the HPI!
whats up my BRAP brother!! You know for sure I got the HPI! Because HPI is king bro!! Plus the price was super good I mostly had no choice.
@@hybrid32494 haha for sure I know your always out for a good deal! Me too! I cannot blame you!
U.K. Price £409 upwards to around £450
Hell and the HPI Savage newest model on hrp website is now $719 I can get it from the hobby store for just under 550
Hey great video greetings from Greece
Nitro all day!!!
hybrid32494 great choice you of did a break in video bro
hey my dude! I just got this thing in the mail, we will be doing the unboxing video soon. I Have not opened it yet, but the shipping box is HUGE!!
I’d love one of these got the flux just not this one
YE bro! I highly recommend you get this one too, the price is good and it's available for now. The flux is ok, but mine is super slow, that's why I never run it anymore.
hpi trophy truggy ive got one its amazing
Where can I get a nitro World order t shirt? Love your videos!
Should check out the redcat caldera nitro
do nitros kill mosquitos? i back up to woods
LOL, I'm sure the Nitro smoke does have an effect on the mosquito situation! Lets see, maybe the mosquitoes love the sound and smell of burning NITRO!! who knows, lol. Nitrogang!.
REDCAT MONSOON 🔥 MONSOON🔥MONSOON🔥MONSOON🔥MONSOON🔥🔥🔥🔥 BRRRRRRRR
Wait man wym done? Like losi is done making parts for the losi eights?
Brooooo the USA 1 💯💯💯💯
unfortunately the USA-1 isn't an option at this point, IT's not even available for purchase, it's expensive, and it's a KYOSHO, meaning you won't ever be able to get parts for them, lol. BTW I have a Kyosho FOXX 2.0 (same as the USA-1 chassis). and I can't even source a basic clutch bell for it, you see what I'm saying.
Man that sucks, nvm it than lol
Bro out of the blue, I have a team Max classic 2.5 I have tuned it and it still won't shift to second gear and I have adjusted it too and still nothing I have a spur gear coming with a clutch and I noticed that the little spring that I have on it now is little it's not spring it's like shrunk and if you know what I mean what do you think would be the issue I mean I know the spur gear could be on the line but what is your opinion thank you
I want to see that serpent 2 speed baby make it happen plz that’s my dream 2speed baby on road
I drove one I had 2 of them trophy 4.6 oh yeah I had 2 of them but they not mines
Bro what you got waiting l,is it this one?
whats up man! this HPI truggy just came in the mail!! thats what I got, lol.
Oh yeahh
What site did you use mate
hey bro! This was the HRP site, thats their USA distributor. They are also on amazon right now, I put a link in the video's description. Im legit sitting here with it right now as I'm typing this comment. It just came in the mail!! NItrogang!>
Hybrid made me buy one
LOL, I'm glad to hear it bro! So far a few people have said they ordered it too, I'm glad you did. This is the best brand and a good spec car for the money, you really can't beat it.
@@hybrid32494 hopefully that bullet mt restocks soon because I’m buying one of those too….just don’t make a video on it till after I purchase it!
@@hybrid32494 over priced
Dude you just bought two new HPI RC’s. I thought you said that you are a tight ass Lol
haha, well yes, I hate spending on money on things with no value. But considering I got terrific deals with no tax, coupon savings, and free shipping I could not pass up those deals. In reality the amount I paid these things will almost always be worth at least 80% of it's purchase price. In my opinion it's not a waste because HPI will always be desirable, you know. Plus my Prius is getting 58 MPG right now, I can afford it 😂
I have the hpi truggy so if you have any questions just ask
hobo nitro hell ya
The truggy is here bro! Nitrogang! It just got delivered a few days ago, fastest shhi[[ing I've ever seen, lol.
2 speed or not a truggy is a truggy. Somebody race the mother effer or something
Can you speak Russian?
