This year hasn’t quite turned out as we thought it would. COVID-19 has touched all of health care, including and especially geriatrics. It’s highlighted the resource-constrained nature of our work, but it’s also highlighted the ways we can come together to accomplish extraordinary care.
What’s at the center of all that innovation, collaboration, and compassion?
You.
To our graduating fellows, hardworking residents, and health trainees across the country: Thank you.
The ways you’ve come together to serve in some of the most challenging times of our lives have been inspiring.
And to our academic clinicians, researchers, full-time clinicians, mentors, and advocates: Thank you-not only for supporting the next generation of colleagues but also for working tirelessly to improve care.
You all make us AGS Proud-but there was no doubt you’d rise to the occasion. Because: This Is Geriatrics. You Are Geriatrics. And together, we’ll continue to work toward a future of better care for us all.
