It honestly sounds like a direct transfer between games of the sounds which is so awesome. It’s by far one of my least favorite racetracks in MK 8 but the song is great.
Seeing this track again in full HD, with the gorgeous wintery night sky and the aurora borealis shining overhead, then hearing the familiar whistling melody from my youth, is enough to bring me to tears everytime.

The sad part about Mariokart 8 deluxe is that tracks like waluigi pinball and coconut mall are not in the game so we don’t get epic Remakes of the songs

Isn’t it interesting that the only two GameCube tracks in the original were a desert stage and a winter stage? I hope with the DLC we get more GameCube games, Sherbet land and Dry Dry desert were great courses IMO I’m still holding out for Mushroom city and DinoDino jungle though

I recently play as Ludwig von Koopa and my sister plays as Wendy O. Koopa in this place. But literally I lose. Long time ago she plays as Iggy by using time trial mode and returns to the beginning but Roy says "what, is this a reverse?! that's not cool at all!!" With a baritone voice.

I was thinking, "this sounds really familiar, like something I've heard recently" and then the 'nam flashbacks of me trying to beat the 150cc Star Cup on Double Dash to unlock the Special Cup a couple months ago hit me like a truck. This track is bullshit and its music is frustratingly catchy.

in my most recent ranking of 8dx, it was 10th. considering the caliber of 8dx’s ever expanding track lineup, 10th is absolutely nothing to scoff at
