I was worried as well that wanted it would have lost that beautiful convertible if the mountain climber went over the cliff. Thankfully he stopped at 25 then won by getting the fondue pans exactly right at $45 where the mountain climbers stayed on 25 safely. as Bob said that was spectacular
Yeah, that’s mentioned in the description, although the description could be even more accurate if it pointed out that this was the 20th season *premiere* .
Don't boo her, she's an older lady, and isn't as strong as other contestants but Bob definitely deserved the boos because he's supposed to be helping her. Ashamed it ended with her going over. But she still (barely) won the convertable.
Who liked this game only because of the yodeling? They didn't usually have a car as the prize with this particular game. That was too close for comfort. She would've lost had she missed the rug cleaner by another dollar. She almost lost that convertible. What are the odds of being exactly right, because you are doing nothing but guessing.
It was a funny show when she got boo twice & Bob once when spinning the wheel. Why will they boo when the wheel does not goes all the way around at least once?
Because a spin on the big wheel is invalid if it doesn’t complete one full rotation. I’m unaware if it started after the advent of the traditional big wheel, or maybe the original, “rainbow” wheel used in the week in 1975 where they were testing to see if the hour-long format would draw good enough ratings to merit becoming permanent, which of course proved to be a smashing success as the show has had a 1 hour slot for nearly 50 years.
Some people are strong enough to spin the TPiR big wheel with one hand, some aren’t. I can’t for the life of me figure out why Bob didn‘t just have Juanita hold his microphone while he spun, as he would’ve been able to do so 2 handed. Also, as for the WoF wheel (which was responsible for the inspiration for TPiR to add a wheel to their show-note how wildly popular WoF was, and it debuted in 1975!), I imagine it’s easier to spin one handed as it’s sunk in.
@@jeremyba5504 HEY! Didn’t you know that was the most huniliating moment in the man’s life until Juanita asked him if she should try spinning again immediately after he said that? (LOL JK)
Original air date: September 9, 1991

Who is here after seeing this today on the 100th birthday celebration for Bob Barker?
This is from the 20th season premiere date.
She saved the Mountain Climber!
Thanks Yodeling Guy for saving the 25 without committing suicide.
Corey Law, the singing wasn't immediately updated along with the reconfiguration of the game itself.
Now do you know why the game is called Cliff Hangers?
The actual retail price of the music box is $1,000
THis is from the week of 9/9-9/13/91 because of the references to 20th year in Contestant's Row and on the turntable.
Yeah, that’s mentioned in the description, although the description could be even more accurate if it pointed out that this was the 20th season *premiere* .
Good, that's what I wanted to hear.
Anyone have the full episode please.
@systemoperator It was a week long celebration, also I am aware it is the season premiere.

Hes on 25 if u miss even $1 dollar he goes over the cliff
@cnlaw The music does sound a bit..slower, I think.
Close call
It's a good thing Juanita guessed that Fondue maker right on the nose or else it would have been a tragic loss for her.
Painful Boo Hiss to be exact.
@sheldon LOL IKR
@cnlaw How so?

Would you like me to try it again?
You said week, not day.

@systemoperator That's what I said.
Is that the first time Cliffhangers was played for a CAR?
No
I'm sure it wasn't.
The mountain climber sounds a little weird.
DON'T SPIN A WHEEL WITH ONE HAND!
Well IDK about that... Wheel of Fortune is spun with one hand
That was too funny when Bob didn't go around.

My guess for the Price of each of those 3 Small Prizes in this one would have been the following.
Cooker: $15
Rug Cleaner: $30
Fondue: $55
A Geo Metro???? HAHAHAHA what a piece of crap
The actual retail price of the music box is $1,000
