An Otis recommendation hits with a much higher percentage than most other people. Its a great guitar tone and a great song. " they're your burden to keep till every beat down soul is free" helluva line
Never heard your music before, thanks to Mr. Otis here I gone! Great song, dig that syncopated drumming, reminds me of Adam who played with JD Simo at a clinic here in Portland last night. Sounded very authentic Mr. Gordon!
I’m following in the footsteps of many here and visiting via Otis. Really enjoyed hearing about your ES-125 and listening to you tune here. Best of luck to you with your new album! Digging the tone!
Otis Gibbs sent me! Many, many years ago…. probably 50 years ago, I was a kid and went with a friend of mine and his family to a prison rodeo in McAlester, OK. As we we were walking through the entrance of the rodeo there was a skinny black guy holding a box filled with packs of cigarettes. He was shouting “Cigarettes! Ten cents a pack!” At that time a pack of cigarettes were fifty cents a pack, so people would twist their heads around real fast to look. Then he would yell, “Forty cents tax!” So a total of fifty cents. Lol I’ve never forgotten that guy and his salesmanship! Very cool song! Congrats!
Otis sent me here and I’m glad he did. Your interview with him was very inspiring, as it reinforced my own thoughts on solo live performance with an electric guitar, rather than acoustic, and gave me encouragement on the goals that I’m working towards. Hope to see you live in the D.C./Baltimore/ Virginia region. New fan. Thanks.
“I dreamed I was walking out between the pines. I saw a red dog running. She looked a lot like mine…” Glad you developed that thought into another great song. Kudos! I’m here on my own, but I want to give a shout out to Otis Gibbs. “Otis sent me” back! 🦞
