Mom Rides Forest Rumbler Backyard Roller Coaster: READ DESCRIPTION FOR CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

My mother decided, after riding the Coney Island Cyclone and the State Fair of Texas Comet, that roller coasters were thrilling! Having watched me ride the big ones through my middle teen years, she decided to give coasters a try.
Having only viewed videos of my backyard build (the Forest Rumbler) since 2018, she came to visit, determined to ride. After watching it in operation, she decided to begin her ride mid-course (the second hill). “It’s way more intimidating live and up close than the videos could ever portray.
What a thrill for both of us! Her laughter followed by a shriek as the ride rolled backwards through the curve was an episode that we will never forget: Joy! Pure joy! How I wish that a video could capture it in its essence.
Next visit, she plans to ride the whole 90’ circuit.
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
Construction plans to extend the circuit are still underway. Covid has driven the price of lumber up 300%, so the already delayed plans have been extended.
The first improvement will be extending the 4’ platform an additional 4’. The materials have been purchased, and construction will begin by April 25, 2021.
The plans for extending the circuit are still being calculated and drawn up. Hopefully, May will be the month.
