    In Malaysia, we call it JANGGUS or JAGUH (jaguh means winner, worrior as it won other fruits by having the seed outside).. I've taste the bell.. I remember my friend's dad gave those bells for us to eat in kindergarten.. He said its wastefull to throw it or get rotten.. And sick of eating it.. He has 5 or 6 trees of it.. I know cashew, but not the whole fruit.. So at first, it looks like 'Jambu Air'.. I dont know it in English and feel excited to eat it.. But at first bite, it taste really mesmerising me.. Im in love with it n would always go to him for a few pieces.. I'm 6, a city kid, follow parents working in small village, so whadda you expect?? N im thankfull now as I've never find anyone plant it or have it after that..

      Bukanke kita sebut buah gajus 🤔 my family had a tree long ago. Now I'm in Shah Alam, there is one huge tree by the road side near my house. Seen people plucking the fruirs/nuts. Never tried eating the fruits. Perhaps should try.

    I use to do the same back in mexico in my childhood.
    PS: For the person who ask.. They dont sell them here because they dont grow here, only in tropical climates. They dont export them because they dont have a lot of demand probably. Thats my favorite all time fruit.

    I heard somewhere that the fruit is toxic only the nuts were edible. Well I'm scratching my head right now 🤔🤔🤔🤔

    • @DracosKasurani
      @DracosKasurani 5 лет назад +1

      Look how he cut the top of where the nut was originally. The toxic oil is around this area and on the nut, the rest of the fruit isn't dangerous.

      Only cover of the nut is toxic. When the cover is burned ,no any part of the fruit is toxic. The fruit itself is juicy and delicious.

    I have never seen a cashew tree or any nut tree except raisins (dried grapes) and apricots. This was so cool

    As I can see a lot of land is needed for cashew nuts and the land (and the leaves that lay on it) is very dry.. apple trees contain much more fruit per tree.. I hope that we can find ways in agriculture to help each other so that our planet doesn’t dry out so fast and still can enjoy these nuts.. the product/land/water/sustainability ratio must be good... Thank you for the video sir!

    My beautiful Panamá, we have that fruit, called Marañón de pepita, we make juice, Jelly, you can eat just like that, so delicious, and the seed, we burned exactly how he's doing to cook the seed, that is amazing!

    Theres a tree near where i live and i once made the mistake of eating the fruit, holy hell was it a bad idea. They have the texture of a wet matress and taste like iodine.

      there is a way of eating this fruit. you should eat only 1 inch from nut intersecting part that is sweet part. others contain some acid that will give you itch feelings. i own small cashew nut tree farm.
